well, I turned to the only person I know for help as of right now, and that's Tom Y at ssms. I think I am going to change the injectors and try to find an intercooler, maybe down the pulley a bit?
 
yeah, I noticed... but i don't see how? everything is installed by the vortech book. They went over it before they tuned it and I went over it as well. Plus, there's no way for a power pack to be installed incorrectly, and I don't see how a supercharger can be installed wrong either... it's self explanitory.
werent you having a prob with your BPV?

That wont change the fact that its making d*** with an s2 power pack.

Maybe everyone already noticed this and took it into consideration, but this WAS a Mustang dyno, not a dynojet.

There are obviously a lot of variables, but 269whp would probably be dang close to 300whp on a dynojet.
 
i believe that you need to get the a/f ratio up too... and i can't wait to see what tom has to say... you might also be interested in talking to justin at VMP he might be of help... he knows a thing or two about charged mustangs

Tom basically said those are good numbers. it seems that he keeps trying to stray from the fact that the power pack didnt help much. but he says that if i had a procharger I'd see better numbers, "The intercooled Procharger guys typically see 300-310 RWHP at around 11 PSI but the thats intercooled and the P-1SC is much more efficient than a V-1" I haven't had time to look under the hood at things yet either, it was dark when I picked it up, I 'm going to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be and whatnot before changing the setup.
 
they honestly aren't horrible numbers... just with the money you put into it i though 300 wouldn't be that hard to accomplish

see i you can get a better head unit for your kit... something that is better then the V1...
though for the money you would be putting down there isn't a distinct advantage

I'de like DISAGREE for 500 alex....

Since when does an intercooler mean the Head unit is more efficient? I'll say it again, do an 11psi procharger vs an 11psi vortech and intercool them both:D

yeah, it would be nice to have gotten what I was shooting for. all my friends here are honda freaks, and the one knows what he's doing, and his car holds up to gt's... he replaced the original motor and like gutted his car completely. I also can't seem to get a definite answer on the rpms and whatnot. I was thinking about that 351 that was in that other thread someone was talking about for 3k... if I could find one that is... but for now if I go intercooled and a higher psi with bigger injectors and the Lts I'm atleast hoping to see 300. I'm not talking 12psi, maybe a pulley or two sizes smaller than my 3.60

lots of decisions for me... i gotta think hard about them all now. damn

What injectors / fuel pump are you using now?
What answer did you need with the rpms?

310lph with 36lbs i had an offer for 39lbs for nice and cheap, i think i might take, but i dont know if they'll peg with a higher psi. and the guy said he did not take it past a certain rpms because he did not know how the car was because of the cam i had in. he moved the rev limiter up a bit but not much. he said normal cars run at example: 11.8 and mines at 11.5, so its running rich, but he took a precaution so it wouldn't damage anything. I just wanted to know what the car could take with that cam i have in there. im also considering a larger tb

  • Normal cars run at 14 ish...
  • Rich isn't horrible, 11.8 would be a good place to be boosted.
  • You should be good at 6krpms.
  • 36lb injectors should be fine for where your at now
How much boost did you say you were making again?
And I'm making in intercooler setup for mine ftw!
