Spoiler removal help!

Okay so my buddy plans on removing his spoiler on his '05 gt. And we tried to remove the nuts inside the trunk, but it didn't seem to really help. Is there any other steps that need to e done?

Fishing line or dental floss to break the double sided tape.

I used 3M adhesive remover and it took about 10 minutes.

This is the best method.

If it cuts your fingers imagine what it will do if you catch the corner/edge of your decklid

Try the 3M and a heat gun wouldn't hurt. Took me 20 minutes with a heat gun and some adhesive remover. Then getting all the old glue off is a pain. I installed a GT500 style wing.

Do not try and pry it off with just muscle!! You'll dent the trunk lid badly! Someone warned me of that here thankfully because I probably would've attempted that.

If you have trouble handling the fishing line just tie each end of a length through some wrenches.

Heat gun to the back side wear the studs come throw the trunk old spoiler popped right off Then I used a little brake parts cleaner (very little ) to remove the remaining glue on the trunk lid
