Here's my 93. I chose a 12lb inter-cooled Vortech. How much are ya pushin? How much did it cost ya?

Well, being over here in Iraq, I haven't been able to ticket it yet. But Ford Motorsports Division did a fantastic job with the install. She dyno's at 518 bhp and 512 lbs of torque. They told me that if I kept the original shoes on her, that it would be like running bicycle tires on a dragster! lol I thought that was hilarious! She's got 275/40's on her now and with the posi-traction, I am unable to break the rear end loose. She just absolutely straight really really quick. :O) I struggled for weeks over which to go with, ie..super or turbo...and the latest that Vortech had to offer won.

She's as lean as she can get without more major mods to the motor. When I was home on vacation, and it was a beautiful Sunday morning, I decided to take her out of the barn, give her a bath and take her for a spin. I had a 2007 Corvette pull up to my quarter panel at a 4-way at about 9:30 in the morning. He rev'd his engine at me and rolled down his window at me and gave me a thumbs down. He then approached me window to window and heard the SC and saw the advertisement under the Cobra emblem. I took Bessy to 6 grand while sitting at the light. He then rolled up his window. The light broke and and I side-stepped the clutch and a violent exchange between driver interface and car reaction ocurred. By the time I was in 3rd gear that Corvette was so far behind me it was a joke. I slowed to give him another crack. He approached and we did a 1,2,3 at about 40 mph. This time was worse than the first. I dropped it into 2nd and launched again. I beat him to the next light. We get to the light..I rolled down my window as to prepare for the acknowledgement, and the weasel made an abrupt right turn.....h ehe heh What a joke.....

Mechanically speaking, the Cobra has the original Cobra motor but it has a beefier camshaft, shaved heads, new pistons and lifters...and of the course the 12 lb SC, 4:11 gears, posi-traction and the a short-throw shifter.

Yes I would recommend that combination. It feels just right and the supercharger responds well to it. What gears are you running? Like I mentioned earlier, this combination is a good corvette eater...lol

Sweet! I also have a 93 Notchback. She's my baby too but she takes backseat to the Cobra. Here's a few snaps; How much do you have to work with? It doesn't take much with these 302's.

sweet notch.. i like the paint and the wheels.. mine's a hatch.. i've got a little over $2,000 saved up at the moment, so it'll be a while before i get into the hardcore modding due to not having any money.. the first thing i will do is get rid of this POS AOD and throw in a 5 speed.. i will eventually build the motor and throw either a vortech or a novi 2000 on it

very mechanically sound.. 94k miles, no squeeks or rattles, nothing leaks, drives very smooth, shifts great, etc. a great car IMO.. i really want to start out with performance mods, but this porno red interior is killing me, so that might be the first thing i take care of lol

exactly.. i think i got a pretty good deal on the car and i didn't want to pass it up.. that's the only reason i bought an auto car.. i agree with you though. it's just not fun to drive unless it's a stick

Aww crap! I'm at work here in Iraq and my PC won't let me see the pics. I'll check them out when I get back to my trailer. When you said red interior, It through me back..lol Red interior is just too loud. Is it that really bright red?

it's ok.. you aren't missing much.. it just looks like a 1992 LX Hatchback that rolled off the assembly line lol
and yeah, when i say red, i mean RED. it's hideous dude. lol.
there are 3 things i dislike about my car, the auto transmission, the red interior, and how incredibly slow it is lol

You know what really kills me? Back in 92, 225 stock HP was the shiznit. Now most sedans have well over that. Now to me, a true muscle car (as the mustang) blows rings around an Acura (Toyota) (he hehee ) but with technology, the Acura competes well with a 14-year old (technology-wise) muscle car...there's something seriously wrong with that! lol
So, yeah, some mods are in order to get her up to today's standards.
