dude.. did you even read the datalog page on the web site? :lol

you need to get live load.. it's free and you can fine it on sctflash.com
you need it for your xcal to be able to hook up to your computer.

im not trying to be a b it c h about this whole thing but i was under the impression that i woudl get a pre programmed tune and a custom tune to match my mods. he sent it with no custom tune and says sct is being difficult with him and he cant do the custom tune i guess without me doing data log and i have no clue how to get this crap going. i wish i knew more .

he never told me that before. i thought thats why i filled out all that info about my cars mods and settings..

oh well. the tunes good up until i do like a cam or headers or some crap though right? so my midpipe should be fine?

Discussion starter · #57 ·
the mid pipe should be fine unless it's an off road pipe.. then you would just have to get a quick reflash to turn off the cel.

but unless you do long tubes or something major the current tune is fine
its a dr gas o/r x
yeah i seen where i can shut off the o2 sensors. thats no issue, and just reload it. i think these will be my only mods for a little while. i need to pay off my work truck and get rid of that payment.

thanks for the help

Sorry for the delay. I updated my SCT advantage software and it had an issue and froze up (no access to the software). I was on the phone with sct for 30+ min earlier and am downloading the update now. I did not forget about you, just realize that sct can be slow. If you are still having issues with errors and datalogging you can call up sct at 407-774-2447 and they can resolve your issues. If all goes as planned I should have the base tune for the custom tuning to you later tonight. Also if you get the datalogging figured out I can check the canned tune to see how close it matches your car (like i said in the email). You need to get the datalogging figured out for the custom tuning. I know it can be complicated sometimes, but sit down, be patient, and read all the help files until you get it figured out. Shoot me an email if you have questions (but call sct if you get error messages, because i cannot trouble shoot those).
Not sure if i gave you this link, but this will describe how to datalog using the on device options. Its much easier with a laptop, but this works too. Its for an Xcal2 but the process is relatively the same.
