I work at this small mechanics shop in hattiesburg ms and today we were just chillin at the shop and in rolls this vette... its nice and silver with some 345 goodrich tires on the back i was like hmmm. i thought about callin him out in my 13 sec gt until we got it up on the lift and i started talkin to him... all he wanted done was an exhaust hanger welded up. well come to find out its a damn 1000rwhp Corvette Lingenfelter..... he took the badges off of it so it would look like a regular z06... i was like WTF! it has a 3tune chip... first tune i think was 500. second tune was 780 and the third tune was 980.. all of these tunes are pump gas... it was twin turboed but it was sweet cuz the turbos were under the car and when it was cranked you couldn't hear them until almost full throttle... it ran a 10.8 yesterday on the 780 tune...

What a load... you are not beating a C6 Z06 on the track or the street. 3147 lbs + 50/50 weight distribution + 470 TQ + 60 mph in 1st + good 325 tires = good grip & YOU LOSEit was on the street and he was on street tires...im not sayin i walked him or anything but a win is a win..
The only reason you may have "beat" him is if he were only using half his rpms. I bet a good driver could beat you shifting 1-3, skipping 2nd.I used to try to play around with vettes sometimes but never beat a c-5 or newer car. Vette drivers must look at mustangs trying to race them the same way i look at civics or any ricer revving at me,like a shithead with a souped up inferior car trying to get bragging rights. The ONLY real non exotic competition for a corvette would be a viper.

I raced a guy that I went to school with I was driving my 04 Mach 1 with quite a bit of boltons, and he was driving his dad's 01 C5 convertible vette. Both cars were manuals. I had only had my car for about a month so I was still pretty new at driving it and Dan the guy driving the vette was an even worse driver. I beat him, I never said that it was a C6 or a Z06, nor did I claim to rape the him. I also don't like words being put in my mouth either. If you are going to voice you opinion that is fine, but please make sure that you have the story straight, because you have been misconstrued and I wouldn't want you to do that and make a$$ of yourself. It simly came down to I was a better driver, not a great driver. Just better than the other guy, which was very satisfying, because we never got along anyways, and he wanted to race me.

you guys are dicks sometimes..... and you dont read before you squirt **** out of your head.... i know what happened and i dont give a damn what you say... i ran a c5 z06 and he was on street tires as in some small bald street tires! i was on nittos and we went from red light to red light... i dont know what your city red lights are like but mine are deffinitely not 1/4 mile apart. I never said i would wax a vette through the 1/4. but i have beaten A LOT of cars with more hp or just run faster ets because of driver error or me getting out of the hole on them. so take your dissing somewhere else cuz this is my thread and you guys dont know what the hell you are talking about.
wait a second. termis edge the c5 meaning barely beat them? i find that hard to beleive since my mach is side by side almost with a base c5

Just saying the performance(Z06) is the best out there for the money. Hence the kinda poor mans super car, was just a joke. Yea my GT was 15k so Im not dissing us just playin around.
the zr1 is just bad effin azz anyways
