he might be able to cut that time in the strip, but it all boils down to "could you do it too". probably not with the mods you have but with the gears it will help a little. just throw them gears in and give him a go one weekend or something when yall are together. even if you loose, say you missed a gear or something!!

that is because he will. and with straight pipes you loose low end power and gain extra in top end power.

 

Get 4.10s and youll get him if your a little better drive, he will get you with the 3.73s

 

...Man...you lose top end...I've seen it numerous times... My blazer is straight piped and I gained serious low end torque...lost it up top though... We shall see... I don't want 4.10's ill lose too much up top...guess ill just have to get me a whine box... Lol

 

He has muffler deletes, any amount of power lost or gained would have no effect on the outcome of the race.

 

That car makes more power everywhere than yours does. I can guarantee you he is making at least 285rwhp if he has a good intake and tune.

I have SLP LM1 so a striaght pipe pretty much. You will not break 13.5's with street tires. dr's and 4:10s with cams then you can beat him.

 

I don't think he even has a tuner...maybe... If anything its just a canned tune...he's a ok driver but don't know much bout car's not the mechanics

I raced my friend who has a 05 gt with just intake and cat back exhaust and shitty tires with 4.10s.

I have all bolt ons except pulleys.

you cant beat him unless your are cammed and he stays stock. This is what happen to me.

Me 00 gt vs friend 05 gt

1st run dig
I killed him off the start got 2 car lengths ahead going into 3rd got into 4th he just blew by me.

2nd run 35mph
I get him by a car and then he blows by me.

3rd run 55mph
I get him by a little then he blows by me.

edit: forgot to add both cars are stick. As well he let me warm my tires before the race from a dig.

 

Well my car must be a factory freak cause I can beat my buddies 09 with a cat back and drop in filter by 3 length's in a 1/4 and he ran a 14.0 flat at the track

 

well when my friend runs with drag radials he runs low 13s all day long. He got a 12.8 once in the summer time. lucky SOB.....

With what I got ive only raced a couple times and gotten mid 13s, lowest time I had was a 13.4 but I avg that day 13.7 just felt rushed on the line they get ET out the way on race days lol....cant complain it was fun atleast.

I ran 13.9 bone stock, 13.5 with gears and spun horrible, 13.25 with gears and drags, canned tune, throttle body and plenum and mid pipe and catback

O yeah and launching at less than 2000 rpm

 

Did you run at Imports vs Domestics at MIR???? or ford fever?

 

And bro I hope you beat with a supercharger! Lol your altitude must play a role in your time's...and need a stall for sure
