im looking for 24# injectors at the junk yard and i cant seem to find any fords that have them. All i seem to find is the yellowish orange injectors, which is what i thought are the stock 19# injectors. is there a model and year somebody can give me that will have 24# injectors? Does the color really matter? There is alot of crown victs, town cars, etc. do they all run 19# injectors or is there some ford that i can look for that will have 24# injectors? does the color really matter or what? From what i thought the 24# injectors are blue. can somebody point me in the right direction?

sensor or the meter itself is calibrated?

im dont get what exactly is calibrated for the injector size. now does it matter what housing i get for a given injector size or is all the calibration done in the sensor itself? I called someone over at american muscle and they said i can use my stock sensor in the housing that is calibrated for 24lb injectors. I will have the 24lb injectors soon and i already have a 80 housing. Does it matter what housing i use or is it the sensor itself that i need calibrated for the 24lb injectors? I been looking at different housing from different fords at the yard cause im trying to look for the size and shape i want for the intake i have. Does it matter what housing i get. Will I actually use my stock sensor or should i take the sensor out of the car that i take the 24lb injectors out of and use that one?

Its done in the computer, sensor, and housing.

You can run any injector with success, as long as changes to any one of those things are made.

If you have a max maf voltage of 4.1v with 19lb injectors, and add 24lb inj, then it will be too rich, then maybe the smaller sample tube brings the maf voltage to 3.7v, and you are supplying the right ammount of fuel to the engine, and have more room for the maf signal before its pegged too.

so converting from SD to mass air and upgrading from 19 to 24lb injectors, all i have to do is change the sample tube?

If you have a C&L yes, otherwise, youll have to get a new maf. or a chip with new transfer function tables for a 24lb injector.

If you have a stock maf, id get the maf, because there is a performance gain there.
