Well im in missouri so it gets pretty hot here too but i think i can live with just the vent air and windows down. Might get this sometime, is it easy to do?
^get it from latemodelrestoration.com and save yourself some money! the worst part is getting all the other crap out of the car if you are really deleting it right. (condenser, evaporator, all the lines ect)
get it from advance auto, same thing ,buy it off there website,i got mine for 23 bucks using there code. easy to put on,i dont use a/c and my compressor was locking up so,out with it
I was thinking about doing this. Mine hasn't worked since I bought it. A hole in the line or something. I don't DD my car, so an AC isn't really a huge concern.
Would it be easier to delete it, or replace the lines and try to find the hole?
im in Chicago and the humidity can be unbearable sometimes but the A/C is not needed. thats my personal preference tho because windows down for me does enough justice. i was also building an all out N/A car so deleting the A/C for weight reduction and freeing up a couple horses was a must. and as stated before make sure you take everything out like the condenser, canister, and other misc bits.
the ladys might not like it though, especially if theyre wearing short shorts during the summer months lmao
What size belt for that and does it have to be a certain year V6 tensioner. I need a compressor right now cause mine is completely not moving. I dnt really use my a/c anyway and thats a cheaper and quick fix
Ok so now that i re-routed the new shorter belt to bypass the ac compressor i now have the belt wine on start ups. Its just for a few seconds though. It really doesnt bother me but when we have meets here im the one getting looked at when i start my car lol. Is there any way i could stop that?
That is all its pretty much for in my case... i have another vehicle for dd and for when i want ac. I have been driving the mustang a lot this summer tho and not once did I want to use ac with it. I just want some weight off the front.
