Adding 100 shot, Tires?

I've got a 2000 GT 5 speed stock except an H pipe. I picked up a Dynotune wet nitrous kit that i'm going to be running a 100 shot through.

I don't "street race" so DOT approved doesn't matter.

I currently have newish nitto555s which do OK for my stock power, but struggle on launches at the track. I honestly don't even plan on spraying at the track with these on as i'm assuming they will just get blown off?

Now i'm looking into slicks for a 15 inch rim and I'm thinking about using some stock 15 inch wheels. My question is what type and size of slicks should i get?

I like Mickey Thompsons from what ive seen at the track but open to recommendations.

Yes but not immediately. I was hoping stock rear end could take some light launching off the spray.

I have another 8.8 my buddy sold me when he switched to IRS. I just need to put the 3.73s in with him and the 31 spline shafts, carrier, and rebuild stock LSD.

I'm looking to do the same thing soon... As soon as I get my 31 spline rear end in.

From what I've seen from 366743788337 forums on the Hoosier vs MT street (both are great tires)

***MT streets last longer and are a little better for driving on the roads.
***Hoosier QTP launch harder or if you want road use get the DOT DR.

I already have my 555s fit street use so I'm going with QTPs

pick up a jegs rim (120 each) and i went on local forums looking for 26 inch Hoosier QTP's and found a brand new set for 250 for both... had M/T's and definitely like the Hoosiers alot better.
