The gt500 mufflers dont have drone and i dont think the borlas do either. I have roush axlebacks with resonator deletes and offroad x and i get a little drone but its not bad at all. I think bassani dont have drone either i could be wrong on that one. If you dont want drone but want loud and a good tone get the gt500 mufflers.

I'm running the GT500s with cat deletes, full 3" cat back with h pipe and , although they don't contribute to sound or volume much, 4" blacked out tips. They have no drone, sound very muscle-y at idle to 3k, and is a bit loud. 68 dB at idle from 10 ft away. After 3k, it changes to an almost Ferrari like sound and gets really loud. UDEAFBRO would think not loud enough, but Johnny Law has already seen fit to pull me over for them.

I'm very pleased with them.

Be careful about the Roush ab's. I just sold mine on craigslist I got tired of how loud they were. I picked up some Flownaster american thunders for $200 (great deal/love craigslist) and I love how deep they sound.

They do drone, I personally love drone, and I plan on keeping these on when I go catless. Another thing to point out is the stock resonators. I had a shop cut them out and weld in 3inch pipe. The resonators removed added alot of rasp and volume making the Roush very loud. With a quiter muffler it actually makes it sound meaner and adds some "bite" to the sound. Just food for thought.

I have a flowmaster outlaw catback on right now with my cats still on. They have a nice growl to them just rowing through the gears. Cold starts are loud as hell and it sounds like it could make a NASCAR piss itself at WOT.

Now when the 16th rolls around.. I'll have my longtubes, no cats, and my outlaw catback and it'll sound like this.

Mine aren't, but I'm pretty sure that they either sell a quad-tipped variant. That or it wouldn't be hard to get the axle-backs customized to be quad-tipped.

or maybe dude who uploaded the video confused them with the american thunders, idk! Either way, it's going sound menacing lol

I decided to go with the FRPP SVT Sport mufflers after listening to JJ at Hypermotives video. Although now that I listen to it again I might just swap out the mufflers for the MBRP's lol

2012 5.0 JBA O/R H & MBRP Cat Back S7226AL - YouTube
Those are made by borla far as I've ever been able to tell. Got to compare my s types when I had them to those mufflers a buddy had. Identical sound minus the tips on the borlas being bigger.

Both of us had O/R X pipes so was a pretty fair comparison.

I was looking at those MRT's but the Blowmasters sound pretty good too. I might go a different route after I get my LT's.

GT500's with cat & resonator deletes sound great btw.

They just still were not loud enough for me. Same with the kooks axle back ill dig up my old exhaust threads in a min

Hushpowers and borla stingers have almost an Identical exhaust note!

Check out Boss Mustangs Online they are probably going to be able to give you some insight there with the O/R question. I think a couple of the guys there have the MRT's
I heard there exhaust in person at mustang week. They are really cool guys. It's not that bad sounds pretty good.

Jayman33 can tell you about the exhaust reving that took place.

Lol when you have hypermotive, MRT, SCT, borla and airlift all in the same parking lol.

My GT500's sounded way better when I had stock manifolds on the car. With the LT's they just don't sound right.. Maybe with an H pipe they would sound better along with the LT's, IDK
