I'm looking to converting my son's 6 rib pulleys to 8 rib. I would like to do this as cost effectively as possible since we are already at $6600 on engine rebuild. I know that Thumper makes a nice looking tensioner that should hold up to the Vortech pretty well. Vortech also offers a complete 8 rib set up but they seemed way to high. If any of you could share some insight on the most cost effective way to do this I would really appreciate it.

Some pullies from an f150 can be used. Which ones specifically I am unsure. Ask bakerfx4 he should be able to tell you exactly which ones or give you more info on it anyways as he was looking into this a few months ago himself.

Im in the process of doing the same myself. You can use all of your smooth idlers and your smooth water pump pulley. I already have the 8 rib f150 balancer and a/c compressor pulley. I just need my...

8 rib blower pulley
8 rib alt pulley
8 rib power steering pulley.

All from a 2000 navi 5.4 4v.
I have an extra 8 rib balancer if you would be interested. Make me an offer for it if you want. :dunno

So the balancer and a/c pulley comes from a F150 5.4 ? The alt & power steering pulley comes from a 2000 navigator?
What size Procharger pulley are you looking for I have a couple of extra 8 rib pulleys from my D1 on my 05.

im looking for a 2.80/2.90/3.00 8 rib for the d1sc. Im running the 6 rib 3.00 right now. The f150's ive seen are all 6 rib. Only ones ive found that are 8 rib are the 2000 5.4 4v navigator motors. my 04 f150, 07f150, and 09 f150 are all 6 rib. :dunno

all my stuff is from the navi.

Thanks for the info. as for the Procharger pulley I do not have a extra pulley that size. It would be nice if the Procharger pulleys were a little cheaper.

8 Rib Kits : BGG Performance!, Your 8 Rib Specialists
These are $500, but are complete minus blower pulley.

Many have pieced together 8rib pulleys from F150s, good option if you can find them used. But they have gone up in price from the dealer and total it costs as almost as much as the above kit

EDIT: Looking into this thread, buying new parts is cheaper than the BGG kit.

im getting the Reichard Racing blower pulley for mine.

yeah i know. they are sexy looking. and all they do is spin. lol. hidden by a belt, blower, hood. I wouldnt mind having one just to where around my neck!!! NWA homie G thug!

i bought the KB 8 rib set up for just under 400, im installing it right now, and im running in to some issues, the 8 ribbed idler pulley behind the supercharger bracket down by the A/c pulley is 3.25 inches and the vortech pulley is 2.5 inches, so i have to order one from them and a couple extra shims. I also discovered the water pump pulley that they supplied was too large for the stock water pump, after googling it, i found that switching to a s197 pump will resolve that issue.
