Start off stock and run youre car till you feel you need a item and go as needed. Drivermod yo
Put some control arms on in the rear, lowerit on ford racing springs, and put some ford racing/steeda control arms in and see how you like it?

There're no struts in the rear, so no rear strut towers :p
Err...shock towers. Fixed if for you. Man it was early when I typed that. I barely remember it!

Sticky created at the top of this forum section.

ReverendDexter, Whiskey11, and other handling gurus - feel free to add your two cents to the sticky. Let's make it awesome so we have a one-stop-shop for Noob suspension upgrade parts and sequence.

I know we all will have different opinions, so feel free to disagree with what I have written (and please explain why) So people without suspension knowledge can learn. Where we agree, I will add it to the main sticky, and where we dissent I'll add it as well so people can make their own informed choices.

Without tainting the sticky, here is what I am running right now. I'd like to see what other guys who have gone crazy are running as well.

Post up your list of suspension mods.

Why all the Steeda? Volume discount by doing it all at once through a Steeda forum rep. I did it all at once to the $3 grand mark. I wanted the car to handle like the 1997 BMW M3 I used to have. It handles BETTER than my M3 ever did now. There is a group buy on another forum for the Whiteline Watts link if anyone "needs" one, LOL.

I also run 335 rear tires (search for Operation Steamroller) which help me corner hard as well.

Most of the suspension gurus are in here, I am loving this thread!

My current suspension setup isn't much but I feel its well chosen.

AST 4150 coilovers with 450F/175R lb/in springs
Vorshlag CC plates
Strano F/R sway bars with competition endlinks
Fays2 Watts link

Haven't driven it at all yet. Upon install of the AST suspension goodies I found the passenger side sway bar mounting bracket missing for my front sway bar. I guess I didn't lock tight those bolts and the whole bracket came off sometime after my last event.

OI! That DOES NOT help! I am very envious of your 4150's! I want more info!!!

That said, I added my contribution to the Suspension sticky... it's definitely TL;DR material, fair warning!

Would just like to update on ride quality of the ast4150s. Only went for a short drive but I am very impressed with how well they ride on the rough city roads here in Baton Rouge, especially considering the stiff front spring rate. The rear feels firmer as well even though both setups had the rear springs rated the same at 175lb/in. The ride overall is noticeably firmer than with my old koni yellow/steeda sport setup but I wouldn't say it is any harsher. I did gain a little nvh over the old setup but I'd attribute most to the fact there's no rubber spring isolators now, and the vorshlag cc plates. That said there isn't much nvh and I get more road noise from my RS3 autox tires than the new suspension setup.
