they dont interchange because of the different position of the bolt holes. If you want to do it like i said you will need to do some drilling and tapping.

I would recommend the same as Acmillr.

um.......can i ask a dumb of question topic here? If we have modular motors and everything is supposed to be interchangeable, how come it's not?

Initially, Ford planned on building the "modular" platform so that all motors built on the platform would have interchangeable parts/pieces. However, realism eventually set in and Ford was forced to use different suppliers (i.e. windsor and romeo), and the the need for taller deck heights to achieve more displacement in the larger motors (i.e. 5.4) led to the "modular" term (as it was intended) to become obscolete. The term modular does still apply in at least on way though- the heads on a modular motor have no left/right side orientation and all the ports are shaped the same (no mirror image ports). Also, I believe that the pistons are interchangeable between the 5.4 and 4.6.

That's what I have gathered anyway.

What is rhe differnce in the heads??? Could i just cam the non pi and be better than my pi???????
I cant really give you a solid answer....because im unsure of what you want to know.

Could you cam the npi motor and be better than the pi. Why dont you work the Npi heads you have on it now. Do an entire valvegrind on it and build them up. Money will come into play. But... i dunno how far you wanna go. You could just go PI on that block you have and get aftermarket heads for a romeo car. they will bolt up and do some decent cams.

The thing is. That block is romeo. Or at least should be its a Vic i think you said. But still. So you can go with 02-04 GT parts. Romeo bolt right up.

But Npi 94 block with come cams dont beat up on youre PI motor. My npi car with pi cams and intake and npi heads with a few bolt ons is still at 240-250rwhp. So im dyno;ing slightly lower than you ( in most cases)

I hate to sound like a meany....but please do a search on the heads. There are a zillion topics on the differences.

But you can use the PI intake on a NPI head but you either need to follow the Stick i made about it in the 96-98 section...or use the kit they sell ( ie: Livernois)
