Im looking to buy a set of longtube headers for my 2001 GT and was wondering if anybody had any recomondations as far as brand. Im looking at Dynomax, Flowtech, and Hedman any opinions would be helpful.

I have Pacesetters black paint finish, the weren't easy to install. You need to relocate the O2 sensors to the outer side of the collecters.

Hear is a sound clip with these headers, no mufflers with comp cams xe-274

I have CAM headers that I got off ebay about 2 years ago for $350 shipped, can't seem to find them for sale anywhere anymore, but i've had a great experience with them. They are made of 304SS and after 2 years of use they still look brand new. The only problem is that one of the headers need to be removed in order to pull the trans. Never been a problem since I pulled the engine/trans out as one. The pypes headers almost look identical to the CAM headers, not sure if they use the same builder or design.

The Flowtechs are the same design as the Hooker Super Comp Headers(both made by Holley) granted I never drive mine in rain or any other kind of nasty weather so i didnt mind getting them in the painted black version. The paint however was flacking off so i put them in the blast cabinet then painted them with black ceramic header paint from eastwood

Hedman makes good headers for older carb'd motors. Everyone around here is going to say MAC, including me :D I just picked up a set of MACs for my new motor

Most of what I've seen is the cheaper they are the worse the quality/fit
Cheaper - Pypes
Middle ground - BBK,MAC
Expensive - Kooks,SLP

You also have to factor in if you are a manual or auto, not all headers will fit an auto trans. I have Flowtech and love them. The collectors are so far apart that I can drop the tranny without touching the headers

SLP is nice fit and finish...never heard complaints about them. I ran BBk's before and didn't have an issue. MAC has a real good fitment now. IIRC, the fitment was bad when they first came out, but have since corrected that issue. I'll be going MAC myself.
