Didnt mean to bust your chops in the 306 thread! I know you are one of the most knowlegeable guys on here so I have a ? for you. I have a 70 service boss 302 short block. I want to stoke it to 347 and fuel inject it with twin turbo's. Any head suggestions? And set up suggestions? I know I want to run about 8.5 to 1 and twist the hell out of this thing. I hear I can turn this thing at 9,500rpm! is that safe? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

streetable 900hp. I wanted to use a boss block as no one is doing that. But many others have told me to sell the boss short block I have and go from there with an aftermarket block and build. But I have this boss block and I know they are about as tough as ford has made so I thought I would give it some consideration. The boss is standard bore yet and has the rods and crank lightened and still has the og cam. no damage. could ring and bearing it and fire her up. but I want a 347 fuely with lots of boost! Since I dont want a big block rpms make power if they can breath! thats why I want to spin it so fast.

9500 rpm with a stroker... just isn't gonna happen dude. Won't be necessary with twin turbo's anyways. Good luck finding a cam that'll make power that high and be streetable (unless it's on a trailer). Something more reasonable like 6500 would be more practical and much easier to find compatable parts (heads, cam, intake, converter, etc.) I suppose you could always v-tec it :dunno

DREAMS!!! Oh they are so nice to have. I just want to be different but I guess I am going alittle overboard here! Maybe I will sell the boss and build a 347 to twist at 6500 or maybe even 7 with the the hair dryers. shoot maybe I will go with a 408 and only spin it to 5500. who knows. Thanks for the reality check guys! :hug

You are not going to make 900hp and spin 9500 rpm with a boss block and get any kind of life expectancy out of it. 900hp will not be very streetable either, especially at 9500. There is no need to spin a street motor that high. A 9500 rpm engine will need to be gone thru several times throughout the year as well, not to mention that you will have more money in the short block alone than you have in the entire car just for parts and machine work that are good enough to live at those speeds.
