So another change in plans, this one is going to stay. So after a few conversations with MHS the chance of PTV with the cams. So i have been talking with Ortiz performance and i will be running their Stage 1 cam. He hooked me up with a deal on his cams that i couldnt pass up. So i should have the first dyno results of the OPS1 cam. Pretty excited to be apart of this and cant wait to see the results!

Im looking about 2-3 weeks. He had a couple sets in stock but they were spoken for. So he is sending them out tomorrow to get ground. Honestly man he is very cool to deal with and answered all my questions pretty quick. If your interested in a set send me a pm and il give you some info.

Not bad, they're regrinds right?
I'd be interested to know how they ended up with .531/.531 if they were regrinds, something to do with the shims?? But yes the stock LSA is 114 and you cant change that.

My regrind cams are only .500/.500.

So wait, you have less lift then a PI cam, but more duration?

Generally speaking yeah you can use shims. Or most companies that add lift weld the lobes and then regrind.

I went with new cores that reason. Plus I get a tighter LSA.

Yeah the duration is 220/219 @.050, the cams i have use shims i dont think the welded the lobes because if they did i would think there would be more than .500/.500

Honestly im not sure how they do it. It will come with shims because of the lobe being smaller then stock.

The tighter LSA is nice, but looking at these specs i have a feeling they would make a nice blower cam if i ever went that route. The difference in our cars between a stage 1 n/a and a stage 1 blower is maybe 5hp so i can live with that.

They are not welded

Nope, I don't believe yours are welded at all. They do reshape the lobe causing it to shrink a bit.
Hence the shims lol

My cams are a total N/A cam. Your factory/wider LSA will give you more up top and less overlap which is what you want for a blower cam. So yeah, yours will work well with a blower.
You never know when you will get bored with the power your currently making:naughty:

That svo blower has always had my attention.
