Haha yeah man. Its a fun car, I enjoy it. I knew it wouldn't be a power house when I started the build. Just like the different in it. Got two other mustangs I can always play with when the day comes. Till then, this is what I got!

I hate to be that guy but are you still running the same times as the ones in your original post? It just confused me when I saw the video of you racing that 5.0. My car off the nitrous trapped 81mph in the 1/8th and it won't come close to my buddies 2011 GT in a drag race but with the nitrous, he is smelling my catless exhaust!

 

look up my youtube, if you want more, there is a video from the night before when I was tunning it in w/ smaller jets. I didn't hide that time. And it was still faster then this 5.0.

you shouldn't allow yourself to be sucked in by the n/t b/s, your car runs good for what it is, claiming a legit time only helps your cause, it doesn't hurt it.

 

He told me what it ran, pretty dang fast for a V-6 but I didn't actually see a time slip.

 

I'm really not trying to beat the guy up, but reality is that you can't expect to have anyone buy into times that aren't there.

if you watch the video closely, he's not very far ahead of the other car which ran an 8.36 & he's claiming to have went better than a 7.86 (his words not mine) when the video doesn't seem to support it.

I didn't initiate this thread, he did by saying how fast his 6er is, I say prove it or move on.

 

Baz, the 8.15 is on the 100hp rated Zex jets 46/26.
The race against the 5.0 was on 125 rated jets. 52/xx (cant remember what fuel I used)

From the time I told you, do you think im full of **** ? based off the smaller jets and proven time ? hah ? Just Curious.

Casper, of the 3 newest vids Ive loaded are those two races and a view of my dyno results on the 46/26 jets.

my veiw & opinion of how close you two were was just an educated guess from 30+ years of racing myself & watching cars go down the track.

bottom line is don't start a tread of how fast your car is then when called on it tell people to trust you on how fast your going.

it's not like your setting records, its looking like a high to mid 7 second 1/8 mile car which isn't all that, even with the v-6 thing taken into account.

IIRC dont gears hurt your stall, cause it'll make the wheels turn easier ?
Ebrake doesn't seem to help me much ... maybe a 100-200rpm maybe

suspension w/ a good set of rubber = surprise win all the time, love it
hopefully ill get down to a 13.0 with my NA stock long block gt one day maybe mid 12s with cam/head work on a ideal day

 

I def need moar rubber ... the 235 bfgs aren't doing the trick consistently ... yeah they worked in that vid ... 1 pass of like 5 for the night. Gonna jet it down some though and just use up these tires since I bought them lol

Whats the e brake trick

 

when you're stalled up there at the light pull the e-brake up while holding the release button for it and once it's time to launch let the e-brake down at the same time you let out of brake for extra hold while you load the converter

 

Oh ic I usually only hold down the brake
