Should i be worried about 16.5 mpg? i do mostly city driving in my GT 2005 with 93 oct. with no super charger. i drive it normal. Try to stay a gear higher so that the rpms are down.

I just would like to know what the rest of you get in your dd?

I have thought my tune could be too rich but that is why i am turning to you guys, i want to know if i am thinking correctly or just over worried. i love my car and i dont care about the 16 part just want to know if that is normal or below avg on what the rest of you guys are getting.

I am also running a set of 255x35x20 on the car with 3.55 rear end gears.

I have your same problem, but my car uses more fuel and I drive more than normal cause the streets in city are not good for fast drive in SHITaly:(. The system was too rich so I installed a CAI to give more air. After the installation of CAI fuel consumption has decreased, but I had other problem with tune:(
Anyway if there's some tricks to encrease mileage with mustang I want to know them:D
Just a question to you guys, remove cat and install headers can increase fuel economy keeping the same driving style?

i'm out in the burbs of chicago. and crusing around back roads and some highway i've never gotten below 19 mpg. then again my car has only seen real city for maybe 50 miles of the 60,000 on the clock. my v6 driving buddys hate when i show them the message panel.
however at age 23 i've been told i drive like grandpa. :)

yeah 16 for city sounds about right. i do a lot of highway and i can get anywhere from 23-28 depending on my right foot. when i get into columbia or any city it drops like a rock and i only get about 18 (89 tune)

I average 20-21, but I do a decent amount of highway driving. I shift around 2.5k sometimes 3k rpms, go the speed limit or 5 over. If you have a lot of lead in your foot, adjusting that will definitely get you better mileage. ;)
