I love it, i looked through your flikr gallery as well, so you like AE86? Who Doesn't.
I love that saleen bumper and your rims, as well.

Nice Drifting! I hate where I live, there are no empty parking lots...

Oh quick question, did the all of the stickers, especially the monster one make it any faster? I'm desperate to make my crappy 2.3 faster! (kidding)

Those don't add much but this one adds 5hp hehe.

Also thanks on the compliments.
And yes I love the AE86's they are like a needle in a haystack here and my buddy had those three in his junkyard and I was going to buy that hatch but he wanted $1000 for it and the bay was burnt up and I was like no.... $500 or no deal and he turned my offer down.

The on and off ramps around here have a very steep hill/drop off and no guardrail. I bet you'd learn to drift REALLY quickly. Or at least I hope you'd learn quickly...

But, I think id rather drift on loose surfaces, to preserve my A4LD, even though the previous owner had it rebuilt and installed a heavy duty clutch/shift kit, I don't want to risk it.

I will have to wait for rainy days. Or bring a large bucket (I do have friends in the fire dept) :) ... "Hello officer I just flooded the street so I could test the wet performance of my new tires, I am a Journalist"

What do you guys do to upset the balance of the car and begin the drift. Is it easy to feint drift our cars, do you use the normal brakes, or the E-brake?

I ask bc my ebrake Is super heavy, I think that there is a kink in the line, but it would be extremely hard to change the line without a lift. It takes 2 hands to pull it past about 1 1/2 inches. Is their a way to soften the kink without removing the line, if i manage to find it?

the Ebrake is heavy on all mustangs with factory rear ends. Really the best way is to come in narrow and turn early and clutch kick it. You dont want to feint drift because the swing from one way to the other is really easy to over do.

Like 2 hand heavy? I need two hands to release my parking brake, if I pull it up all of the way.

And I have an auto.

And I figured that it would be hard to feint these cars as the springs are so soft and the weight transfer would be severe and unpredictable, but i felt like asking anyway.

Yeah, the stock sway bars are terribad as well. I typically use what I like to call 'fancy footwork' now that I have my T5, back when I had the A4LD I'd E-brake and manually downshift to try to keep them broken loose.

Also, keep in mind that while it's easier to get sideways in say, rain or gravel, you also have less grip/traction/control to bring it back out. This little 2.3t/T5 setup is a hell of alot of fun to throw around though. Bigger sway bars (FRONT AND ADD REAR--IMPORTANT!) and fancy footwork with some timed e-braking will get you far.

On that topic, my e-brake is now very sloppy and loose. If I'm on a hill it has to be at the very last notch on the ratcheting mechanism or it'll roll. Pain in the dick, really do need to tighten it back up sometime.

How do you like those tail lights? My lenses need replacing and I'm not a fan of how they're put together in the first place. I've seen one other car around here with those and it doesn't look any worse than the stock style. Definitely better than the other aftermarket crap.

Okay so i ran across this add today on CL.

Ford 2.3 Turbo Motors and parts

$1000 for it all.

Texted him and he said $500 for the complete but has blown head gasket (first picture) with the harness.

told him id get in touch with him in about 3 weeks for when the cash flow comes.
Hope he still has it, If not he has 3 other motors.

What do you think arummel.... Good find for my area i think.

Yea but theres no way I'll have $1000 cash that quick. Still in high school and i work at a grocery store making $7.25 and bringing in $130 a week so.... I'll have to go with the $500 deal, sell that intercooler off and other stock parts I dont use cause I want to do a front mount with a 90deg intake

Also update on the T-5, it snowed like a mofo last 2 days here so he never had the chance to pull it out, going to get it this coming saturday.

Keep in mind turbo motors often go for $500 each. Might be a worthwhile investment if you can get your parents to loan you the money
Going tomorrow to see what it would take to get a loan for $1000. I can get the money, just not that quick. Parent's just don't want to cosign cause they just bought the house. That way if I do get it I can get the t-5 still also.

i know this thread is a bit old... but i was just wondering how your 93 build is going and if you ever got that t5 installed and your lx successfully converted over to a manual transmission?

and also where did u get the saleen nose that you featured in a few of your previous pics?
