i have already read through that one more times than i can count...and nothing said about having to drill for the iat, etc.
Depending on the year you have will determine on what you do with the IAT 02+ have the IAT integrated into the maf, no modification necessary. If you have an external IAT like i do you have to drill a hole. I chose the Lightning IAT because i feel that it wont have boost leak issues like the stock one might have

thanks a lot man. i have the upr k member waiting to go on. should fit fine with the k member spacer (to clear hot pipe). and also putting on mmr oil pan at the same time. then turbo time.

anything else that you have to do that i should know? seems like there are a few things that have to be done that aren't really thrown out there.
What spacer do you need for the K member? I am getting ready to put my UPR K on and if I need to do this now would be the time.

Subscribed... I almost pulled the trigger on the On3 kit prior to purchasing my Procharger, but there wasn't enough info on them at the time. Just alot of seemingly unjust bashing from people with higher dollar turbo kits.

Got my car running today. took it out on 5 psi with my old tune with stock maf and injectors (19lbs) normal driving conditions a/f ratio is pretty good around 14-15 so i decided to dip into the throttle a little turbo starts spooling af goes to 13.2 i keep going holds 13.2 hit 5 psi and still going strong a 13.2 :) Cams and gears def hurting me no reall boost till 3500. Turbo is loud! Im used to my audi and i can barely hear the spool on that so this is a big difference. Overall i have one exhaust leak and the rest is looking gravy.

sweet, i should be in good shape then...thanks man

if you are using the on3 kit with a upr k then you will need a 3/8" k member spacer from upr in order to keep the hot pipe from touching the tube on the k (the one that the a arm brackets are welded to)

how old is your upr k member?

and basically the hot pipe will be laying on the tube without the spacer...but the spacer drops the k down and off the hot pipe. dude over on corral has the upr k and had it with no spacer and got it to clear (althought it touched) but had to use a lot of copper gasket so it wouldn't leak. but he said after the k member spacer its perfect now.

heck yeah!

Nice man.
That turbo should be good for 550-600rwhp. Your tuner can retard timing quite a bit to get more heat to the turbine so that it will spool quicker.

When you having it tuned??

turbo is the way to go...wish I had gone that route. To hell with my linear power curve:D

did you use anything on the v clamps so they would not leak?
I put copper rtv on the flange. nothing actually on the v band. I have one exhaust leak so i will have to take it apart and see if rtv in necessary on the clamp.

I did the exact same thing. I was about to pull the trigger on the on3 kit but last second found a deal for a vortech kit and now I'm waiting for it to arrive.

i wonder how this will all fit together after my 5.4 swap... not really too different, just a little more deck height so it should fit the same. i definitely want turbo power though and to hear that bov ;).
