Soon I am going to be ready to buy stuff for my mustang. I need ideas to how to get 300 rwhp with my 2003 v6. I don't need more than 300hp because I got a 7.5 rear and I don't want to change it. I want a nice DD setup I don't go to tracks.....

Cam, ported heads, ported lower, windstar, roller rockers, and maybe High comp pistons. That will get you close. Or you can just get a turbo and you should get about 100 out of it on full stock engine. Why 300 though? That is like good N/A, or not so good turbo.

Here is the best kept secret to getting 300 RWHP out of your V6.... TRADE IT IN AND GET your Cobra. Unless you have something to prove it is just not worth it. Wait on the cobra and save your cash for a tune/exhaust/smaller pulley or just add a blowzilla :)

I agree save up that's what I am doing instead of a cobra a new 5.0 or older Shelby

depends, kenne bell are a little better IMO but you'll pay for the quality. both full kits are expensive. and a stock termi engine should be able to take about 800whp

your better off starting off with a pulley swap and a tune, easily add 75whp right there.

KB is WAY too big. When you put an M112 on the V6, you have to get a pulley to drop the boost. The stock pulley gives WAY too much boost for the car to handle.

The termi has foraged internals and can handle more hp than you would probably reach in your car so i say Whipple or Kenneth Bell sc and you would have around 600hp so instead of putting it in the v6 throw that 3,400 in the cobra because they have the most potential compared to any gt or v6 in those years...

basically but it runs a much higher compression ratio thats not boost friendly. so you have to limit the boost or swap in lower comp pistons. the mach1 motor is a little better than the 99-01 cobra motor cause the mach has forged pistons

Save the money and spend it on the cobra especially since your parents are buying it for you.

But if you must spend it on the V6 I'd suggest a TMA turbo kit, probably the easiest thing for someone with limited mechanical knowledge since most of the parts are there and you dont have to fab much. It will still probably be around $5-6k after install and tune and everything else

I really don't race in the streets or go to the track I really like the power lol...My parents say I am a really good driver for a 17 year old thats why they trust me with the cobra...I am not going to collage..going to Lincoln Technical Institute so I will have money to work on my cars...I got longtube headers on so I can't get a turbo im thinking about a m112 or procharger...

i believe the m112 is what you should go with, its better for engines with lower redlines like ours since a procharger wont make good boost until your higher. im sure you could make some serious power with it, idk what pulley the mysteed kit comes with but you can always adjust it. should be able to run 12psi.

usually when you have 10 ppl giving you the same advice its a good idea to take it.

For your future cobra i would definitely go with the KB charger. I personally don't like the mach1, never have, and the cobra is better/faster/more powerful, the only thing the mach has going for it is 6 or 700 more rpm at red-line, and you don't race so whats the point. for a daily driver a sc is usually a better idea than turbo anyway due to the lower rpm boost range and the fact that you will probably mostly be driving on city streets where there isnt much room to get into the upper rpm range outside of just melting ur rear tires.
