^ very true. nothing like sitting at a stop light and seeing everyone looking or the occasional "love the car" remarks.

my favorite part is seeing the looks on all the little kids faces and knowing you may have just led them down the path also :)

Oh the little kids crack me up so ****ing much. It seems like every time I drive past little kids they all start jumping up and down and making rolling motions with their arms. I always want to rip a burnout down the street after that, but I don't think my neighbors would be very happy with that.

Someone at work just told me not to because so much crap is on the table if something happens. He said breaking into your engine could ruin it and it would never be the same. and it could blow up. Crap... Now I'm not sure lol. More research time for me -.- sigh..

Take it to a competent mechanic then. If everything is done right, its fine. Tons of guys are running around with cams and I don't think I've read of a single issue with someones cam blowing up a motor on these cars. Changing a cam won't nuke your motor if its DONE RIGHT.

Changing your oil can blow up your motor lol.

It could ruin it if you use questionable parts or put it back together wrong.

Otherwise, ignore him.

i paid 650 for my cams and installed them myself.

and on the sound trust me you want the lope ;)
every time you are at a stop sign, stoplight, pull into a parking lot you will get tons of stares!

That's a clean none anoying lope man that sounds beautiful. I'm not so much into cams but this one would make me reconsider. Would these help on the lower part of power band since I have a Paxton?

Thanks for the encouragement. I want it. Bd. And I'm talking to my other mechanic friend who I know has build motors before, and I'm Ganna have th both there to help. Now as far as where to buy from and whaich is the best nsr power cam with not TOOOO much lope. Which is why Im thinking of stage 1 or 2 xfi from comp cams.

Cams generally bump the powerband up. The Comp Cams for 3V motors say they "kick in" around 4500 RPM or higher. I can feel mine start to pull like a mother ****er right around 3K though. I lost a bit of low end, but thats to be expected with a bigger cam. I don't even notice the loss anymore. I also locked out my VCT so that has something to do with it as well.

My friend just told me it wasn't timing he was worried about, but the computer afterwards.... Which an email tune will take care of correct?

I see you are in NC I'm in FL and we have pro muscle car experts in the area(especially when it comes to mustangs) like ProFab Performance, Lamotta Performance, BlowBy Racing, Lethal Performance, Real Street Performance etc. Do your homework bro I'm sure you have good ones around NC.

Brenspeed had the best deals on cams that I found. You'll need 2 new phaser bolts to install the new cams. Listen to videos of both and decide which one you want. Personally, I think the more lope the better, but it sounds like you want to kinda keep the stock sound with more power.

You'll need to rent or buy one of these unless you want to take the timing cover off. (I would, its just a little extra work to GUARANTEE that the timing is still dead nuts on.)

Awesome. Is phaser bolt required? Just got off the phone with bama and they told me the same. Now.. Back to the big questions.. Stage 1s or stage 2s and why?

What's with the guy on AM who said he's got full bolt ins plus intake manifold and his 1/4 mile went from a 12.9 to a 13.7... Scares me. All this money with a chance of loss of power

From what I under stand stage 1 is for lower rpm and like the torq feeling where as stage 2s are for the top of the rpm range
