okay, so i had my tranny rebuilt a little while ago. when i got the car back, she started up just fine, no issues or hesitation. the day i was driving my Stang up to the new house, she wouldn't start. there was a loud, fast clicking sound and nothing else. sounded like the pinion gear on the started wasn't engaging the fly wheel. it did it again when i stopped for gas on the way to the house. i just got done doing some troubleshooting. i tried starting her and got the same thing. i took a breaker bar with a 12 point 19mm socket and rotated the crank manually, and she started right up. i shut it down and restarted a few times, and each time she fired right up. any one else have this happen before? it seems like either the clutch wasn't kicking over all the way allowing the pinion gear to fully engage the flywheel, or some of the teeth on the flywheel ring gear are worn. in either case, i can work around it for now without having to worry about not being able to start the car. i was just wondering if anyone had any thought on this. thanks...
on a side note, it was nice hearing my baby fire up lol...
