Where are the common places a T5 can leak.

I see a drop or two when I park of trans fluid BUT it's hard to determine where it is coming from. I just had the dam trans out of the car and it was dry as a bone...GRRRR....

if its overfilled it can leak from the little valve on top.

mine use to leak from the rear tail part, where it seals to the main case, but after I swapped out the speedo gear, and re-sealed it, it doesn't leak at all anymore.

check your fluid level, and be sure its not overfilled first.

Speedo gear assembly leaking is a common one and an easy fix. A T5 will also appear to "drip" from just about any oil leak in the engine that runs down and blows all over it like the front or rear seal, oil pan, oil drain plugs, PCV, rear of the lower intake, valve covers etc..
The trans fliud is red and the oil not but when it is blowing around and dirty, you'll only know for sure if you clean everything off and monitor for the source.

shifter, front seal, rear seal, fill plugs, vent, where the tail shaft meets the gear box, and the speedo sensor. Those are about the only places it can leak.

I finally got under it today and found the allen head that holds the speedo gear in the trans was 3-4 turns out and it was loose enough for me to move a little with my hand...

Could that have caused it?

I get a few drops of fluid only on the drivers side directly off of the trans support...cant tell where the hell it's coming from.

A lot of people forget to clean and lube the driveshaft yoke when installing a driveshaft and that typically results in a seal that doesn't seal all that well.
