I need a bezel that fits a kindle fire HD. Can anyone help out? I have seen double din/ and I have seen other droid base tablets. I am wanting to permanently install the Kindle Fire. I have a base model radio.. and its weak. Any suggestions before I have to buy an aftermarket and start cutting it up my self (and it end up ugly)?

Since the front panel is a module that communicates with both the radio and climate control, you need to start with an aftermarket dash kit for a new radio. Any good sereo shop worth thier salt will be able to modify this piece to mount whatever tablet you want.

Aside from the required plastic welding, filling, paint/covering you will also need to come up with an interface for the tablet to the car and some sort of amplifier to power the speakers.

Can I tap into the headphone jack that's supplied in the center console? I'm a DIYer but this might need to go to a professional.

To tap into the headphone jack that is there from the factory, you would still need the stock stereo installed to power the system.

What people are doing is.... The factory radio is just a box behind the dash plate. They are mounting the tablets and plugging them in with a USB cord to the factory radio with sync... And using the tablet as all of the functions with the factory radio basically just being the amplifier from what I understood. Then making the faceplate to fit the tablet.
