I have been contacted by Ortiz Performance. They have come up with a different spec cams than what's offered today. We are going to be testing stage 1s and stage 2s in my car. Getting dyno numbers and track numbers. I can not give and details about the specs but stay tuned for numbers and results. You cab follow the progress on FB also by following my page (SMS Performance) or Ortiz Performance & Tuning Shop. This is a great opportunity and I'm glad I can be a part of it. I have no doubts that F8L will be running 11's N/A

Awesome man congrats.

Congrats Mike. You deserve it. Your car will be nasty. What valve springs will you be changing to?

Re: Exciting news.

These are being designed to be drop in with no other parts needed so that's the way we are testing them. Still stock springs

stage 1 and stage 2 what? heads, cams, muffler bearings?
Sorry, didn't realize I wasn't mention. Cams. OP fixed

F8L, I was just checking out your garage and noticed in your pics that you have battery hookups on the rear of your car but still running an alternator. Is your alternator disconnected? Also, have you done a thread on what all you did for weight savings? I'd really like to know.

I use to run without my alt hooked up because I never ran the wire back to the switch due to the fact and idiot around town could shut it off on my. Now I use it for hooking up the charger while its sitting. If you search under Papasmurfs threads, he started on on weight reduction that I helped him out with. Mine were pretty much spread out or I didnt catalog everything. His on the other hand is pretty good

not to burst any bubbles mike, but I got a set of cams from a company and they said drop them in and they should be within 1*. well one side was 6* off and the other wa 4* off. So if these are true drop in and go cams i feel they will be very popular to the average owner.

What was the company that ground the cams? I have no doubts that these will drop right in given the company that is grinding them. But I will of course keep everyone posted

Just got word that the cams should be here this week

$450 shipped plus core. So 500, then 50 back when core is received

Who pays for the return shipping on the cores?
