So I'm about install my HKS turbo timer and I'm just trying to verify some wires before I get into it.

Wires on Harness___________Car

  • red______________12v constant yellow & light green/purple @ ignition harness
  • green____________12v ignition red/light green @ ignition harness
  • blue_____________12v accessory yellow/black @ head unit
  • black____________ground
  • grey_____________blue wire on emergency brake

Does that check?

When did you get A turbo system? As far as the wiring on that timer I have no ideal I have never installed one.

Why do you need one? I checked into this years ago and directed away from them. You only need it after you run the car hard. If you just cruise to town and back it isn't needed. After some pulls then yes let idle for 30seconds to a minute. That's a lot easier than the wiring and programming hassle. I know some people have had issues with timers also.

But it's your whip and do as you please. Has for install. No idea.

SSG Pate I've been boosted for like a year now lol

Why don't you jump on a Subaru forum and see how they did it? A lot of write ups on TT installs when I was a member there. Just a thought.
Thanks for the suggestion but turbo timers are pretty universal for the most part so the information I needed was mostly just mustang wire diagrams...

I don't run synthetic oil per the recomendation from my engine builder and I have a really bad habbit of just shutting it off after I drive... I romp on my car all the time so I'm just trying to help it where I can. It didn't cost that much money and it gave me something to do.

I finished up the install last night and it really wasn't that bad. The hardest part was finding the room to splice into the two ignition wires. I'll post up a video after I get out of work.

From left to right, turbo timer harness to vehicle;

Two from the ignition harness

Constant 12v
red - light green/purple

Ignition 12v
green - red/light green

Two behind the headunit

Accessory 12v
blue - black/pink

Ground
black - ground behind the head unit

And the last one under the center console

Emergency Brake Signal
grey - blue/grey
