u might wanna check for any openings right behind the hood to see if there is a way for water to get in, then look from the inside up under the dash to see if u see light anywhere
I'll try that tomorrow if it isnt raining again. I think i'm going to take it in tomorrow anyway. The speedometer is acting up too. Might as well get it all looked at at once
There is a FORD recall on this. It is a very common problem in the s197 mustangs. Take it to the dealership. There is a gap in your seal.. Somewhere under the right front wheel-well
I know this is an old post but i have an 2005 mustang and had the same problem .Water started leaking in 2009 so i took it to the dealership where I bought my car brand new.It costed me $150.00 for them to tell me the cabin air filter and something else was blocked with dirt and leaves and more or less told me not to park under trees. I live in Pa. Where do I find info on this recall? My car was still under warranty I shouldn't of had to pay $150 if there was a recall.Thanks.
I took it to the dealership today and told them bout it along with my other issues. When they call to tell me what the deal is i'll ask them to check the recalls
I had the same exact problem and i got so worried, pop your hood under the vents by the windshield on the right and left side are two black rubber drains, you have to feel around for him but they are there and are about 5 inches long, over time they get filled with dirt leaves and other outdoor objects and this prevents water from going through them and the water eventually backs up into the car. These drains need to be checked and cleaned over time.
this exact same thing happened to me yesterday. i took it to the dealership, and they are having a glass and bodywork guy fix it. a 2007 had the exact same problem. there are seams in the body between the firewall and passenger compartment that leak. This is a common problem and is covered under warenty, as long as you still have warenty
Yeah i took it to the dealer and had it fixed but apparently the part they got from ford was warped or something so they have to reorder it and i have to take it in monday to have the fix it again
I've had the same problem with my 06...i took it to the dealership and they told me it was because i had a broken cowell and charged me a few hundred bucks to replace it. Yesterday while i was driving through a storm in OK i began to once again take on water....i think im going to go check those drains mentioned above..
Pop your hood. Remove the cowling next to your windshield. On the passenger side you'll see a rubber grommet between the firewall and the engine pay, it's plugged up with dirt leaves and other detritus. Clean it out or just remove the grommet altogether. Problem solved.
I need help and cannot find a link to POST...
I have 2007 Stang----J ha to keep jumping it Everyday--Brought it to Ford a month ago and yesterday they finally tell me they figured it out.....Corroded Electrical harness from the "leak" I have never seen. now they want $5,356 to fix it......Aren't they responsible for "defects".....I dont have that kind of money and I treat my baby like a real child....I do not know what to do... I THINK FORD shold e held responsible for the defect but it is out of warranty they say.... I bought it from this dealership and have ALWAYS brought it to them when he has had ANY issues for the last 7 years.......PLEASE HELP.. I love my car and he is in perfect shape (except for this)......CANT I make FORD fix this issue????

If it's out of warranty- no. Cars wear out over time, and if Ford were to fix every issue with every car for the life of the car, they'd go broke. So it's limited to a certain time.
