similar issues here. although mine at idle is around 13v but drops to 10.5v at WOT. i'm using the 110amp autozone reman alternator though :( thinking of replacing it to the 200amp powermaster.
I did the math on my system after seeing the voltage and found that when you start going dual pumps or in my case triple pumps one needs atleast a 150 AMP to run everything without being maxed out. Since I am installing a stereo too I needed and Extra 50 AMPS.

Yea I've got 3 pumps too lol

I've got 3 pumps now, but prior to this build I was only running two pumps which is why I never really noticed the voltage. The third pump I added took the wind out of the alternator. It IDE say this new 200 amp upgrade will get the job done.

When I went to the rebuild shop we tested my alternator and it was putting out 14.2 volts but on the car I was barely getting 12. We even slowed down the belt speed to simulate my under drive harmonic balancer but it didn't really affect anything other then .2.or 14.0 volts.

Gotcha. Yea when I was returnless it wasn't a problem for me lol but return style and going from 1 to 3 pumps... Same thing lol

Do you have an aftermarket tank? I know 3 340LPH pumps can suck a baffle dry unless its modified. I went with the Glens tank and the optional larger tubing to feed the pumps extra fuel.

465lph in my gas tank that feeds a surge tank that houses 2 300-400lph pumps. Idk the exact size of the surge tank pumps. All are directly wired through relays to the battery. For sure it's sucking volts like crazy but I'm definitely not maxing on fuel lol

That should get the job Done and no you whouldnt have any fuel issues LOL

DAMIT i have to take my tank off again, I laid out a couple pieces of fuel line one submersible and one not to take pictures to post on my thread about the difference between submersible fuel line and regular fuel line when i put the NON Subersible fuel line on my return valve inside tha tank LOL!!! I seen that line laying there and I was like WTF. I put a 6" piece of line on the return valve inside the tank to keep the fuel that returns from churning, I ran the line all the way to the bottom of the tank so it returns lightly with the least amount of churning.......

i am pretty sure this happened because I was reading through Hard hitters thread today there seems to be a lot of bad juju in there and I must have taken a touch with me LOL

Lol if you're going to blame hardhitter for your bad run of luck then I am blaming mine on you Pate lol.

HAHA I retract my prior statement Lol

Don't worry I blame you for everything here at the house. The wife asks why did you do that to your car. I say " Well Pate did it".

all my friends and soldiers do the same thing so blame me if you like. Tell you wife now you need to go get a 200 AMP alternator cause your falling behind LOL

I bought one a few months back. Just haven't put it on yet. Lol

If this was east anyone could do it that's why our cars are so bad ass when they get done and there are so few high HP 2V cars out there.

I got the alternator back and im still only getting about 12.1-12.4 at idle because the crank under drive pulley is just spinning the pulley to slow. As soon as you give it any kind of rpm im getting a solid 13.7 so problem solved. We may have to idle it up a little to get the voltage up at idle if its necessary but I am getting 13.7 at every RPM over 1000 where the ALT spins up.

Why are you running an under drive pulley on the crank? Lots of guys are running stock size crank pulleys and spinning it to 7000 with no issues, some are even going that high with the OD crank pulleys. Seems like the water pump tends to blow off the lines going to the heater core at high RPM, but that is easily fixed with an electric water pump, which I'm pretty sure you are already running.

I didn't realize it was undersized when I bought it.

I see. I'd definitely try to pick up a normal sized balancer if you could. You can raise the idle RPM, but it's going to feel like you got rear ended by semi when you go from neutral to drive since you are running that manual valve body I would think haha.

Pate I have a OEM crank pulley somewhere if you want it. I rev my engine with the OEM pulley to 7k and haven't had problems yet. I've actually taken it to 7300+
Im might take you up on that if Im still alive tomorrow,,, this ****ing car is killing me

NEED INPUT

So what would make my fuel pumps come on but not push any fuel? Now that ive been paying attention to the pressures they are randomly not pushing fuel yet they are running causing variations in my fuel pressure.. Tonight all three just quit pushing fuel and left me on the side of the road. I managed to get one of them to start pushing again somehow..

You can hear them buzzing but they are not sucking, I even took each fuse out one at a time to verify I can hear the pumps and they are on but just not working...

I am using the KMS pumps and I have already replaced 2 of them I just think they are ****ing junk......
