Really? My shifting is on and off bad but I havent been able to figure it out. For me, low rpms 1-2 and 3-4 sometimes it wont be "aligned" but that could be the way I shift. I dont know but eventually I will swap to a t56 as I hate the remote mounted shifter with a passion.

Mine has gotten so bad that it'll just grind into 3rd and 4th every so often. No resistance, no lockout, just a little grind as it goes in. I can't shift into 2nd or 3rd over 5000 rpm either. 4th is hard to get into if I rev 3rd enough. I'm just so damn tired of this piece of crap. Probably gonna do a magnum swap when I can.

The only 2 things I dont like about the magnum are that it has 2 overdrives and the 1st gear is too low. Its good for boost but Im afraid na it wouldnt perform well

It has 2 gear ratios to choose from whether youre na or boosted
This, and swapping your rear end ratio is an easy resolution to that problem. With the two different gearing options they offer, you can pretty much hit any shift/RPM combo you want between the trans choice and the rear gear choice.

I saw I just got a new "v2" tune from Bama in my email. I should have time this afternoon to get it loaded. I data logged it twice last winter and it helped with my low rpm stumbles, but didn't completely solve it. Except when I ran those "revision" tunes, I continued to get a o2 code after about 50 miles. I switched back to my old 93 race tune and didn't get 1 code in almost 8,000 miles. Hopefully, they can get this one right.
Same crappy tune, different name
Goodluck getting it fixed. I know some people have good luck with them but for sending out tunes for a limited amount of parts that end up having issues doesn't make much sense to me. I get that not all cars are the same but I really don't think they know what they're doing.

They do a good job of hooking people with the free tunes for life program with the tuners but honestly, it's not worth it. Too many car enthusiasts only want to take the cheapest route in every possible scenario and that free tunes crap hooks everyone. Some things are just worth paying for, like a tune shop who actually understands the data logs. I had BAMA tell me mine were fine when my car was getting less than 80 miles to a tank of fuel on just having hotrods and none of their revisions fixed it. Had a second opinion on the data logs and the car was running like ****. Just my personal experience with them though.

Too low? You mean too high? The 1st gear in the 3650 is something like 3.x and the t56 only goes down to 2.93 iirc.

I thought about that after I posted, I meant numerically lower.

And, posted above, yes you could get the 2.97 first gear set and run 4.10s but I remember shaun saying that would be equivalent to to his mt82 and 3.31s. And the tr3650 and mt82 have similar gearing iirc. Maybe Im getting all worked up over nothing, I dont even have me money for the damn tranny yet lol.

When I first ordered a new tune, I had asked in the notes what the difference in the new "V2" tunes and the "hybrid" tunes that they used to promote are. They never answered it even after I got the tune. So I emailed again and asked and he told me "The V2's are a complete rebuild of the tunes. The Hybrid was a variation of an old tune basically." Word for Word. hahaha yeah ok. So basically the "hybrid" tunes were just taking shots in the dark to revise it without a datalog.

Then today, L.O.L.

I went to load my new tune and the car won't even start. I get 4 codes: P0600, P1000, P2105, and U0300.

Abandon ship. I had several email question get ignored and I had them tell me that my spam filters were damaging the tunes in my email. I couldn't stand the stupidity. Had my longtubes installed to complement the cams and then paid for a dyno tune, they gave me 3 tunes and an inspection tune, three years so far and no complaints, not even a revision needed.

A lower gear ratio has a higher number. And a higher gear ratio has a lower number.

The mt82 has a really low 1st/2nd. Lower than the 3650 anyway. LMR has an article with all the ratios and stuff, its called "what manual transmission is in my mustang" or something like that.

Oh ok, I thought they were close. So a 2.97 first gear wont be that much different than a tr3650? Thats good to know.

I'm not sure how different it will be. I used an online calculator to determine effective ratios for a few different rear gears for the 3650, mt82, 6060, and the magnum and tried to find something similar to what I currently have. Its been a while since I looked at it.

They asked me to flash it back to stock and find out what strategy. Once I figure out what the hell that means, I'll do it. Unfortunately, a new tune isn't in the cards right now. There is other needs the car has before then.
