I have ridden in Pate's car. It is a very impressive vehicle. I don't really think he is looking for a dyno queen. I think he wants to see how far he can push it and it remain a true street car.
Some of you need to understand stand Pate and Scott have been going at it forever. But I believe on some level they both have respect for each other. ..I think anyways.

I am actually of the belief that Scott and Pate are BFFs in real life, and the forum squabbles are merely an act to avoid scandal.

Interestingly enough, I am the moderator of another forum who writes fan fiction about their relationship. We call them team “Scate,” kind of like the Brangelina of the MM world, except instead of adopting children from 3rd world countries, they adopt turbos and transplant them into safe homes on modular motors.

Define true street car. I'd venture to even say SSpate's car is not street legal.

Since were all giving opinions about this relationship can I add mine?

Scott is a kid that has ambition and will but never does follow through due to his financial setbacks, and by his post of

"I'm not fighting. Just asking questions. He's mad he's still an 11 second car with 700hp. I would be too though."

How are you not busting a guys balls with a comment like that? You don't know pate, you don't know if hes mad or not, and I can guarantee you he is not "mad" because he has a 700hp 11 second car as you say. He has built his car for a purpose, and while it may not be a purpose you can agree with you should let it be.

On the other hand. Since your jack stand warrior super intake factory short block is so ****ing fast I believe Pate has offered you come on over to TN sometime, and that is the last I will say. The internet and a foolish kid isn't worth the time and hassle

We all have different opinions but as far as a true street class. Something that can run in nmra true street :shrug:. Afterall there is no true limits when it comes to a "true street car".

There will never be an exact definition for "true street" car.

financial set backs? You're damn right. I have a life outside of cars. Between snowboarding, photography, and going to Prague, Czech Republic last month yeah, you can say my budget is tight. Going back to Europe next fall too. I have many more interests than a car.

I'm 25 if you care to know. You'll say what you want quik but it's just words with no backing behind them. I'll have a running car in 2016 and anyone is more than welcome to come and show me their taillights with their 800hp streetcars then.

Holy hell I go to watch Star Wars and it got real in here quick. Ill tell you my POS car isnt worth arguing about for sure but for some reason its Scotts criptonite and he cant resist.

Lets just say no matter what kind of numbers my car makes at the track or at the Dyno I am extremely happy with it, and every time I go out and hit the gas pedal it feels good and that is what its all about to me. Being a convertible im sure it wont be the fastest nor the best looking but it makes me happy and ive yet to be smoked in it....

Hes one of a couple that has actually seen my car in person and knows how much money and time i have in it which is why he gets upset... Ive busted my ass in between being gone for long stretches at a time for work. I have held back some of the results until this new converter goes in. Ill let the cat out of the bag very shortly.
