I had an 8 point rollbar before, but we decided, regardless of whether we technically we needed the full cage (9.99) or not, to install the cage before using the 20 lb boost tune. Based on the 16 lb producing three 10.6 runs in one evening, we're thinking 10.3 maybe, given the hot humid air. We plan on getting car chassis certified in August and hit 9s regularly when the cold fronts start coming down this late September, upping boost to 25 lbs.

Anyway got the car back today and was told we have to net the driver's window, so that's been ordered. I thought the inside was pretty gutted before but now it's just nasty looking. I banged my head once getting in the car, on the roof bar and that was enough for me to cover ever bit of exposed metal I could find with some padding. I'll get some nicer looker padding this weekend, but it's either pad or wear a helmet.

its an emergancy kill switch
He's absolutely correct. It's an NHRA rule that if the car battery is moved from its stock position (it's in the trunk), a cut-off switch must be mounted on the rear-most exterior part of the vehicle. A quick turn to the right and all electrical functions to the vehicle are disabled.

The box is the air/fuel meter that includes data logging functions.

you need more yellow padding
Do have a lot more, but Lance will be wearing it tomorrow night...lol

looks good but I think unless mine will be a true race car I will stay away from all that. you better run the 20 psi. now just to get to 10.5 again since you added another 50 lbs. of roll bar.

I hope you get some good runs in tomorrow and let us know what she does on the 20 psi. tune. I can't wait to check it out up close once I get back from offshore.

and it is done in time for the Fun Ford Weekend too. Are you running it over there for the event? I am still undecided between that and the Oilman's Invitational Fishing Rodeo since they are both next weekend.

Think the weather is going to cooperate for tomorrow evening, so Lance is definitely going for the 20 lb tune. I have actually been spray painting the padding a greyish color. It does look better than the noodly yellow.

Yea, the plan is to attend FFW. Ordering the mandatory net and a delay box tomorrow. Had a few things welded under the car and still a few corrections to make before passing a chassis cert.

I don't blame you. Although street legal, a/c, etc etc...it's not much fun riding around in a caged car, but as you know car only sees 15-20 miles of street per week.

yeah my car usually sees that before lunch almost everyday. I will see about splitting the time between the fishing rodeo and ffw that way I can get a couple runs in with my car if I get back in time to put the rear end in.
