so im supposed to be getting some pi heads pretty soon. i did plan on putting just some stock pi cams in em but then i got to thinking that maybe i should put some comp cams in. wut kind of cams do you guys think i should get?

262's if you wanna easy cam to run, or if you can get it tunes, 268's are also very nice.

Just remember to keep as much lsa (lobe seperation angle) as possible.. 112lsa minimum.. or the computer won't like it very much.

270deg duration would be a pretty top-end camshaft to go with.. Make sure with those cams to research how much lift is on the cam, get good valve springs to handle the lift.

ive heard to get 270s. wut can u tell me about those? and would they be good?
I personally think that 270's are a little bit much to use for a street car. Is this your daily driver? If so i'd go with a little bit of a milder cam. And make sure you get it tuned.

y would 270s not be good for a dd?

so where the power band is determines driveablity?

270s seem like a 3k to 6500 rpm camshaft... it will be a slug under the power band.
When my PI motor ran, it had no problems under 3500, but once it hit at 3500 it hit and it ran well. It was almost like the nitrous was hitting in on this NPI motor...

thought u had a custom grind

it technically was, but it was a comp 270 with the advance out of it. SO a staright up 270, the grind i wanted was going to cause me to do fly cuts, and To properly do that IMO is to take the pistons out, whcih i didnt want to do at that time.
