I'm changing the interior color of my car, right now its a shi* brown and tan color I like the tan but I'm not a fan of shi* brown. I don't wanna buy a new dash and such so I wanna paint it. I've seen it done but I have no knowledge on how to do it. Does anyone know what I can do/use to accomplish this or shot me in the direction of a post/thread/website that I could read about it?

(ex pic, not my interior)

Also does anyone know where I can get seats like these?

You can get those seats out of my Cobra for $1,000,000 :)

I agree donor car ... painting takes discipline and time ... and then all that gets destroyed with just the tiniest scratch ... it'll be a heartbreak for you when it happens

iv got a better idea. Why not cover the brown part in black alcantara? Thats what i want to do so bad. I have the same color interior as yours and i dont like it. Alcantara can be found in all the racing porches, ferrari's, etc. Its such a nice material, and you wont have to worry about scratching paint off.

you can purchase vinyl paint and an adhering catalyst though ... if you are going to paint your interior I'd use SEM products

SEM makes a good vynal paint. They also make specialized vynal prep products as well. Iv painted some vynal things thith their stuff and it worked well.

Yes, teh alcantara is expensive, but it is a brand. Faux suede looks identicle and is inexpensive.

First of all to paitn your dash you really should remove it from the car. If you have it removed, why not find a good replacement at a junkyard.

I used to do custom interiors years back, send to me and I'll give it a nice shag fur covering LOL!

Its a major pain the ass and its expensive to swap parts....

Painting makes the whole car smell like the interior dye and is also a pain in the ass...

I helped my buddy do a mustang one time --- I'd swap a motor any day before I messed with that headache again

I'd find someone with the interior you want that wants brown and trade them some day - I'd do it with you but I have a convertible - and then i'd need a tan top to match.

Don't paint it, that **** doesn't last. Dye the dash. The only thing you have to worry about with dye is it rubbing off on your clothes/hands (like when people dye their seats and come out with the ass of their pants black), but you never really touch the das so it's not a big deal

1) Those are cobra seats, and you'll never get a set.

I wouldnt bother. Unless you can find a donor car or have a bunch of money to spend. As far as painting your dash goes....Good luck with it lasting.
2) +1

3) I redid ALL of my interior to black, since my whole car is black and red. I'm not sure if I'd recommend doing it. There are parts of the steering wheel and rocker, and kick panels that sometimes get scratched, and I have to paint over. I like what it looks like now WAY better than before, but if you have people riding in your car all the time, and people in your back seats, you should just find a donor. The interior on that thread is not updated, so here's how it looks now:

Its still a pain in the ass to maintain sometimes, but the only person I usually take in my car is the gf, and she is careful. Everyone else is usually too busy being sucked into the seat... jp, my shits slow :sorry

a complete color change in an interior is a pita, i just did it in my bmw, dash and all, tough if you can find parts at the junk yard its cheap (i think i spend under 200 on everything when it was half off days) but its a ton of work. paint works on some areas but a proper color change you need to change the parts out.

I can not view the pics here at work. However if what you are showing are actually Cobra seats, as everyone says, you can find them for sale all the time on SVTperformance. People are always selling theirs. However, expect to spend $800+ for fronts alone.
