hey guys, so walking out of sams club today (costco basically) i hit the button to unlock my car and it didnt work at first, so i held the button down and the car started to turn over and tried to start itself.

Key was in my hand and it was cranking over when i held the unlock button....

what could this be?

It's a sign of an electrical problem. The best suggestion I can come up with is to make sure you have full coverage insurance then throw a tiki torch into the back seat, make sure you leave the windows down so there's plenty of oxygen to feel the fire. You don't want that possessed MFer to survive with a little smoke damage.

That was a joke by the way. I hate it for you, i'm not an electrical guy so I'm not gonna throw any bullshit your way. I wouldn't know where to begin; other than the tiki torches.

free remote starter, whose complaining

with the problems of your last thread & this one it's pretty apparent that you have an aftermarket alarm system on the car (weither you know it or not) because these cars don't have any kind of auto locking feature nor could the unlock on a Ford key fob in any way start the car.

I'd look into the aftermarket alarm angle.

Ok guys, it is time to tell sj408 the truth. Dude, you own a transformer.

Yeah, you have an aftermarket alarm system installed. Take it to a shop and have them remove it, or ask them to tell you what alarm you have, its features, and to sell you a couple of remotes and take control of your car.

haha phoenix my youngster was with me and he jumped back and said "what the heck its a transformer"

good idea i might hit the local audo/alarm place and see if they can help

I used to have a remote start on my old car and it worked exactly as you just described. Hit the button once, let it go, then hold it down and it would start. I'd have to say that's what's going on. Or it's a transformer and you have the coordinates to the all spark in your grandpas glasses.

If you got an auto...I'd love to have that feature...remote start it, jump in and rev off completely key less go :D

...or again you have some old school transformer who hasn't transformed into a 2012 GT500 yet :)

The car will start and run, but if you hit the brake pedal without putting the key in it will die.
