Well got the headers put on today and looks like next weekend she should be going in!!! Then we will see if i did my first rebuild right.
Good luck! That thing looks awesome. Let me know how well it slips in with the headers attached. Or I'll tell you. Whichever one of us puts ours in first. :eek:
 
nice man. so back to your post about the cams. so if i get a 4v outta Lincon and swap the cams with stock Cobras and put the stock cobra intake on it and rebuild to factory spec ill have a 320hp cobra motor is what your saying? im just asking cuz im very intrested in doing this to mine. :D

No Its the b head cobra. it makes roughly 270 whp stock, also all you need to do is swap the intake cams. On both sides and its good for 10whp at the least. Only differences from a mark 8 motor is gonna be


crank (cobra ones are forged)
intake cams
intake manifold.

Everything else is the same compression is a tad higher on the mark 8 but not enought to notice it.

But its a big upgrade from a npi.
 
Sick +reps for the build! Your dropping a mark8 into a sn95 GT, im curious did u have to make any mods to your t-45 tranny other then the 6 bolt to an 8 bolt flywheel?

Ill be firing her up tomorrow finally!!! ill have a buddy shoot a video hopefully its awesome i cant wait im going to be priming the system in the morning, then filling up the trans fluid and putting on my h pipe and driveshaft and fire that cold turkey up! Wish me luck and if anyone here knows anything about initial start ups and priming any info would be great on how to do it.

SHE FIRED RIGHT UP!!! And guess what! she sounds sick as heck! I love the off road h and spintech sound its wicked. Now i need some help guys i have a slight miss at idle check the wires and coil packs they seem to be working fine. I think that the miss is in the injector, or maybe the mass air flow? Any help would be great trying to track down this problem.

hopefully not your spark plugs but you could check those out too. if you had a fuel injector tester you could make sure they all were opening.
nice job though. its so nerve racking the very moment when your about to do a first start on your build
 
Clean out the maf, might of picked up some dirt from sitting out, and some lucas injector cleaner. Dont use STP or any of the other stuff, main reason because it will dry out o-rings and cause cracks and premature wear. The lucas stuff does not. :yes plug in a code reader and check your miss fire monitor also. Goodluck man.:)
