Ok, so I have pi heads cams and intake now and I have done research but want to hear it for myself. From what I have gathered you can run the headswap untuned and be fine. Correct? Also, I am looking at tunes and cant make up my mind of which I want.

You can altho i don't suggest it since you don't know whats going on inside the motor.
I was running on the rich side on both banks. With the increased compression you only want to use 93 since we are in Louisiana and all the stations have it. The tune will pull allot more out of the car timing and leaning it out wise. it will pull a little better.

Tuners i suggest are
SCT from american muscle or any of their other packages
And of course for the custom avid tuner there is Quarterhorse and twecer.
There is also Delta Force sniper which is better than the SCT by some bit as far as options go . But the sct pro racer package is the full custom solution. There are many tuners you can get lol.

Ive heard mixed reviews from american muscle owners. One of the fellers here claims it was a waste of money. So im looking around and waiting for the right solution. I would screw up something with quarter horse and it is more than I want to spend after everything it needs for me to screw something up. Leaning toward bama if I can get enough review from it and jo at trick tuners

I don't think bama is all that great honestly. I would check out the Delta tuners sniper. Its a good pick also. was 5 minuets from buying one. KBGT uses SCT pro racer , cost a little more than my QH packaging. But we both do the same thing basically. Mine is just more open source.

I know jo uses sct. You data log and send him the results and he writes a tune for that and then you upload the tune data log again then send it to him and keep doing that until everything is good on it

Yeah . I have almost a gig in data logs lol. Mostly because im doing /producing research . And a write up. Doing some experiments also with alternate injection and fuel .

It runs now. It seems to get too much fuel in the upper rpm range so it kind of studders some and pops in the exhaust. But it pulls like a raped ape. And sounds sweet at idle

The coolant temp sensors are not plugged in. Pretty sure that would cause it.

Make sure that is plugged in lol. Car will never know its warmed up and thinks its -50 degrees or so without it.

Also make sure intake charge temp is plugged in. And if the battery has never been disconnected i would let it off for 20 min or so to reset the KAM and let the ecu relearn .

Plugged it up. Runs a little better. Still getting too much fuel but not as bad. It has a snall exhaust leak and I will check for other possible vaccum leaks. Just getting the small bugs worked out, but its running good. A tune shall be soon to come.

sweet. Yes it runs rich by nature. Dang ford.
