Does that CG pad cleaner get BFWDPS and quality paste waxes out of foam pads? I have yet to use something that does. Full strength IPA, Full strength zep citrus, full strength simple green, that **** just won't come out!
lol you know how I feel about blackfire!
we need a pad washer
I spilled about an ounce of it, a solid 6 months ago.. lost the blue color but the splatter looks like day one lol
Where did you get the shelf, The one I have have metal spaces. So bottle arn't leveled and **** falls over.
I was just going to ask that exact same question lol.

Also Mach how do you like that light? Is that the 25 dollar light from DD? I am looking for a light for 50/50's and stuff like that since I don't have one atm.
lowes! I have a the bigger one that hosts most of my detailing arsenal
The only thing i had an issue with was jetseal, but i think i was running low or something, but pretty much any polish or wax ive used comes out of the pads really easy with CG pad cleaner, i was spraying each pad twice with undiluted, then working hot water into them, that will make it foam up, then just work the foam pad with your fingers and most everything just melts off, I love the stuff. You can dilute it too, like an APC, i am going to next time. Make sure you clean your pads or soak them RIGHT AWAY, thats the key to keeping them clean.

I will be ordering some more soon, i wish they sold it in a gallon lol

lol, at Lowe's, it was like 15 bucks, its made of resin, its cheaply made, but it works pretty well, what else can you expect from a 15 dollar shelf lol.

I believe it was like 30 or 32 dollars, its not the LED one, its the Xenon one, dual bulbs, i think its brighter than the LED one, and to answer your question, its pretty damn good for a battery powered handheld, i dont suggest using it as your ONLY inspection light, but if you pair it with a worklight, youre golden.

The reason i say that is their have been a couple times, that i could pic up some very minor defects with the spotlight that i didnt catch with the worklight and visversa. Its definitely worth 30 bucks and its hella bright.

I suggest turning all other lights off and being in the dark while using it, then the defects show pretty easy. Well easy for me, but my car is black, good luck with that screamin yellow lol. At least its not Zinc
lowes shelves ftw
yeah you peaked my interest about cg's pad cleaner awhile ago, dc needs to step up and carry it

This is what I use.

Then throw it in a bucket of water. After a good soak massage the pads by hand, rinse and spin dry on my DA. Good as new. Its cheap and easy to find ie. Walmart, grocery store, Target.
:shiftyeyes
I'm a sucker for nice bottles though  like cg's lol

Very impressed....reps.

CG pad cleaner is pretty cheap tho. The only thing id be worried about is what that dawn power dissolver leaves behind, if it does that is.

That being said, im gonna go to walmart and try this lol. I have a couple pads that i rinsed out after polishing but didnt get all the polish out, we will see how well this works lol.

I would agree, best OTC product for wheels and tires.

I am looking into megs wheel brightener, its pretty stout, stout enough for most of us that dont let our cars get dirty. And its hella cheap by the gallon and you dilute it.
its acidic, which is why I was never interested in it :dunno
lol I feel the same about it, next time I'm out I'll try and grab a bottle
In time sir, now im gonna go see if i can get sonic cause i just repd you lol
:shiftyeyes

Dang man, that looks amazing. Ugh I need it to be Friday, I wish detailersclub took paypal b/c I'd already have that membership lol.
Get a PayPal debit card. I use it for all online purchases and gas for my car. Comes right out of my banks account like PayPal does

Not a bad idea. The wifey actually did social media work for a person running for congress in our state and just got quite a nice check for doing so in the mail. I might be buying the membership today lol.

I always use it so that I dont have to worry if it gets grabbed by a hacker...

The chance of that happening and your credit union/bank not backing you is very small ;). But it's not a bad idea.
Very true but I have been in this IT field for over 10 years and have seen some ****...While it may take a bank a week or more to decide to give you your money back with paypal they will just cut the line immediately...Having already went through identity theft and a complete cleaning of my checking and savings at one point thanks to an online purchase I dont play around...

That sounds awful. I'm in IT too, did you some sketchy site or something or just get screwed over? Have you filed claims on paypal? That can be crappy as well. I've had a 2 month wait for money b/c of how slow paypal can be. Paypal is extremely good about getting money to the right place, sometimes it just takes a bit. I do see it as being a good idea since it's just an extra step of security.

It was actually from a breach of security at a very large aftermarket auto industry parts provide. It was not from a lack of security on my end but they were hacked and my info was just one that was used to the tune of $9,999 as at the time I was out of country alot and had my bank send me a snapshot of my account weekly and had a $10,000 cap total unless I notified them otherwise...

I have had to file a claim for fraudulent use and they were fast and easy and I never even had a cent taken from my personal account...

I had to do an unexpected detail today since a truck decided to throw asphalt all over my car.

I LOVE CG's bottles, use them for everything i can, my IPA bottle is a CG, so clean and simple, love the spray pattern too

Wow, very nice reflection, i can see that nuba POPPIN on the blue man good job.

Heres what i did today btw...

Check the hood before and after, its 100x better but still looks like crap, its got cancer, gotta be repainted, but its a temp fix for my buddy til he can get it resprayed.

Hood before, NO gloss, rough to the touch, very bad.

Serious dirty

Aftershot, just topped it with NXT 2.0, he didnt really ask for wax so i just threw it on with the DA, itll help protect what good paint is left on the car lol, and hide some defects.

Oh and i organized my pads inside my detailing closet using velcro, check this ****.

Are those hexlogic pads? If so do you like them? They seem any different than hydrotech or ubers? I'm gonna go pick up a shelf and hopefully a cart tomorrow from lowes. I need something to set all my stuff on while i'm working so hopefully I can find a cheap cart.

Yea they are hexlogic, they are very similar to ubers, i think they tend to dust a tad bit more because they have the grooves. Other than that, no complaints.

I have a cheap table in my garage to sit my stuff on, but i need something taller and better. I need to be done spending money for now tho lol.

Lol I was all excited to spend 100 or so after buying the membership but some of the stuff I wanted was sold out =(. I can't wait until it gets back in so I can FINALLY pick up some good wax. I might be getting autogeek gift card for x-mas and if so I will pick something up from there if stuff isn't back in stock.

Do it, XXX is good stuff for the price, and pete's 53 is one of my personal favs.

Of course at AG you have a HUGE selection, dodo juice and other that you cant get at DC.

Im a wax addict again, feels good.

Layed some meguires gold class nuba (finishing off the bottle) on a few panels today, used a plush microfiber drying towel to buff which I've never tried and I LOVE it. Super easy off with the thick microfiber, are there any down sides to using a drying microfiber to buff? Oh! And also tried water sheeting for the first time, holy crap!!! I had no idea it was so effective!!! Now its my favorite thing ever lol.

Forgot: For the first time I properly cleaned my windows. Windex, window cleaning microfiber, buff microfiber. I'm getting the hang of this I think.
