You said your battery was almost dead. A well charged battery should read atleast 12.5v. Check that along with your coil.
its almost dead, because of how many times i tried to start it after checking if the spark plug wires were still plugged in ect...

Okay dude here is what you do. You are making this diagnosis way too difficult and its very easy. Put your car in park/neutral. make sure that mofo isnt going to jump at you. While under the hood, take off a spark plug wire from the distributor cap. Put a screwdriver tip right next to the tip of the distributor piece where the plug snaps in, and turn the engine over. If you see an arc from the distributor to the screwdriver, you have spark at that wire. But you probably dont have spark, but go try it to be sure. Dont get shocked it hurts

So i tryed to start it today before i checked anything and it fired right up. So then i poped the hood and looked around ans saw that some wires coming off the coil were loose. I tightend them, and tryed to start it again, but it wuldnt start

no one is home right now to turn it over while i check for spark, and im not refusing to diagnose. The only thing i can do right now is check the coil, which i did with a volt meter and it seems to check out fine. The contacts are pretty dirty and loose so im pulling all the wires off and cleaning them. As soon as my dad gets home im going to check for spark

You can do it all yourself. Check this out. There is a starter relay on the passanger side( I believe) under the hood. If you dont know what it looks like, google imagine 5.0 starter relay. get a screwdriver and touch two contacts together and the engine turns over. MAKE SURE THE CAR IS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL E BRAKE UP. We dont need any accidents here. But you can check it yourself by doing that. You need to make sure that the key ignition is to the (ON) position, where the gauge lights are showing. Try it out

If thats all you need its very easy. Even replacing the dizzy is easy to do
What is the dizzy? that must be slang cause i dont know what that is. And i figured out what that wire coil thing is called. Its the ignition pick up,(http://paceperformance.com/images/T58215725.jpg) from what ive found online. I need that, the cap and rotor and hopefully thats all. Im at school right now, ill post the pictures when i get home 'round 3:30. . .
