So I had an interesting day. Spent about an hour and a half into correction and my light blew up nearly in my face. Pissed as **** at first. But it could have been worse.

I'll be making my own thread... but here's a few pics.

Yes that is the bulb which exploded... onto my paint. I took much care into clearing off the vehicle.

Bought a dual 500w work light at Home Depot earlier today. More pics to come.

Random pics. Figuring out the 50/50 shots. My friend (chick) who's camera I have been using sucks at micro pics (close up). Trying for some better ones. I have found 105 works well on the bad parts of my paint (mainly where dirt is kicked up from the vehicle). From what I can see 205 with a green pad has taken almost 90% of the swirls out of my paint in the non-problem areas.

More to come.

Dang man that's so unlucky for it to go right as it's sitting over your paint. You won't regret buying a worklight. I love mine to death man. I wish I could have like 10 of them just everywhere lol.

Looks good can't wait to see 50/50's and before/afters.

Worklights are key, spotlights help too, multiple lighting sources help insure a full correction, i check my work with a spotlight as i go because its not hot and very easy to use, then periodically check with the worklight.

I cant wait to correct the mach 1 and throw some nuba on there. Im considering doing Wolfgang Fuzion over FSUPP....im pretty sure my paint would melt onto the ground id be so wet.....

Dude that sucks!

So that guy is going to pay me $80 now and he said he doesn't want me to do his interior lol. Question. He has gloss black wheels and he was emphasizing how much he wanted his wheels to shine and look good. What product could I use from chemical guys to clean wheels and get a great shine?
When I had my black bullits CG wheel guard really worked well @ making the paint POP. If you have a sealant already go with that. I don't trust regular wax on wheels. I don't believe it will last all that long w/ the abuse it will take being so close to the road.

I bought a cheap little metal cart from walmart today, i couldnt pass up trying it for $12.96 i had to see what was up. Its on small casters, im going to use it to set my polisher, MFs, polishes on when i do correction work, im constantly misplacing things and walking in circles and across my garage to get stuff, this way i can have everything with me on whichever side im working on. Yes, its pretty cheaply made, but what can you expect for 13 bucks lol. Heres a picture with some stuff on it as an example.

I am going to eventually build a detailing cart, customize it for my needs, but this will buy me a little time as i have a few jobs coming up.

I also bought a Small digital Temperature/Hygrometer to put in my detailing closet, only 9 bucks! Turns out my detailing closet stays about 2-3 degrees cooler than my house. Around 68 actually with humidity around 50%, i would say thats a carnauba friendly environment :)

Good question i'm not sure the wait time on dodo actually. I will be waiting 8 hours after I remove bfwdps to apply my Ammo wax but I don't know the "rules" for layering dodo. I'll have to look into that before I do it. I gotta get this Ammo review out first though, Son1c has been dying to read it ;)
Good one.

Anyway you only need to wait 30 minutes for bfwdps to cure not 8 hours
I don't remember the official time for in between dodo layering however just wait 30 minutes after buff off, don't layer on top of bfwdps until 30 minutes after buff off IMO
The lsps are still setting up even after you buff them off

When I first came into the actual detailing scene I was told that lighting is the most pivotal part of detailing...

I think I read somewhere if its real humid out after applying BFWD wait the 8 hours. Nice dry day only have to wait an hour. For the Dodo, on the back of the jar it says to wait 1-24 hrs. Kind of vague if you ask me. :screwy: Maybe Son1c can piss some more Brits off on the dodo forum and get the real answer. You sod! :lol

Correct...Humidity and temperature are big factors in sealants

I was trolling and then hit them with the reverse, haven't checked it in like a week, just wanted some more info on the waxes and their fanboys freaked out thinking I was going to start brewing my own dodo juice knock off lol, it's not that funny though :dunno
