I REALLY screwed up my glass with a razor blade to the point where I really need new glass. But oh well its just my sixxer lol[/color]
I am assuming you were going with Larry's (AmmoNYC) method of window cleaning? :eek:uttahere:

It looks legitimate.... but on a properly detailed car I don't see the need for it. I sure as hell won't be using that on my car. MF's and some UWW+ or window clean works perfectly for me!

Yes... :( I learn best from mistakes.

Oh and I wanna point out that my meguiars endurance tire gel has lasted through 3 glossworkz washes, 3 dawn washes, and one ipa wipe. It is still beading/sheeting water and still looks black on my plastic and tires. I'm blown away that I got this stuff OTC and its doing this well, ill keep ya guys updated on it.

Sorry to hear bud. Hope it works out and you get a replacement for your window. Unlike my car, you should be able to find something cheaper!

Live and learn I guess...

A lot better than ultimate compound! Chuckle chuckle. Seriously though it was a DREAM to work with, after the pads start to get filled with product it becomes more difficult to buff off residue but some UWW+ and that was remedied easily. Buffing was very, very smooth. The buff n shine pads did a great job staying together on curves and in hard to reach areas! Now that I finally have quality products, quality mf's quality foam applicators everything is so much friggin easier. Was not able to polish out windshield scratches, I REALLY screwed up my glass with a razor blade to the point where I really need new glass. But oh well its just my sixxer lol.

If you did the ammo technique. Just go up, take it off the glass. Dont go up and down. Also on glass never slide the razor on the window. It will scratch it. I learned the hard way when I scratched my 75 gal fish tank by doing that.

^ speaking of windows, I really hope m105, m205 works its magic on my windsheild and takes out fine scratches. Nothing like crystal clear glass.

Haha i had a moment like that today, live and learn. I was polishing headlights with my rotary, i was.cleaning the pad using a microfiber on speed 1. I NEVER used the tigger lock when doing this before but for some reason i did today, the mf got somehow caught on the pad and the whole works sucked in my shirt. Hurt like a bitch lol.

Luckily the whole thing happened in a few seconds and i hit the trigger quick so my flex is ok and i just have a strange abbrasion on my side lol. Getting the backing plate off was fun haha, ****er was TIGHT.

Anyway, the car (ford focus) turned out great, pics to come, i also did a trans am and lincoln yesterday, doing a corolla next week.

^Wait until you have a rotary on speed 6 and a yellow pad spinning on it and it hits your hand. Hurts like a bitch! :lol

Sheeting properties of jet seal 109 after roughly 6 months of a hard pennsylvanian winter.

<
Wow...im actually impressed. Jetseal isnt known to be that durable but there is obviously something left on thr paint in this picture.

Did u top it with something? Or is it stand alone?

Test drove the focus today, i'm in love lol. Compared to my current v6 it was more fun to drive, and it's roomy, and quieter which is what I want right now for something I need to drive every day. It's race-red hatchback SE and i might get it out the door for $275 a month 60 months financing :D If it's there til the end of may at least.

Either way, there will be a correction of whatever car I get. And expect a post on it. If worse comes to worst i'm replacing front bumper and tires and doing my full correction on the v6. So there WILL be a thread and stuff on a correction by golly!

I put two coats of jetseal on (Sept. '12) and it lasted until late January and then it stopped beading.

Stand alone, I can't even remember if I did a 2nd coat or not. I think I got irritated with it last fall and only put 1 coat on lol
Not bad, ive used it before but i didnt leave it on that long, i switched LSPs at the time. I have jetseal, im going to do like a 3 way sealant comparison soon.

Menzerna Powerlock, BFWD and Jetseal 109

Not bad at all, it doesnt get much recognition as a good sealant, i think it looks really good tho. I havent used it in a while, i think im gonna give it a test.

How long does powerlock tend to last?
Ive powerlocked 2 cars but only recently so i cant speak from experience, but i believe its known to last the usual 6 months that most good sealants do.

I love powerlock btw. Its nice and thick, buffs off SUPER easy and leaves the paint ridiculously slick. Looks great as well, my official go-to.

Ive used Jetseal on wheels before and found it to work pretty well.

I'll be renting a Focus on May 30 for 3 days for a business trip. I specifically picked compact (instead of a cheaper 'economy') because it listed Focus (or similar). One of these days I'll get a garage and soon after a DD so I can keep the mustang covered during the week!

I drove a 2012 ciesta last year, freakin loved it, i can imagine the focus is even better.

The fiesta was very responsive, sporty, drove well, smooth, had alot of cool bells and wistles AND it got like idk a million MPG lol, no for real like 38 mpg cruising at 80, not too shabby.

ON a more detailing related note, I feel as tho i owe MM a moddedmach review of a product not too many of use have used. Im thinking M101, ive heard its even better than 105, cutting as deep but finishing better. I have a coupon for DC and im out of 105 and need compound.

What do you guys think?

Also, when i finally get around to correcting my corolla, im going to do a LONG term test of Wolf chemicals hard body coating on one side, and then multiple durability tests using Menzerna powerlock, jetseal 109 and BFWD. The corolla is outside 24/7 and sits under trees that sap at work. So itll be a really good test for all the products. Im going to try to wash it twice a month during the test.....whenever i get around to correcting it lol.

Another side note, took my puppy to the vet today for the first time! lol, shes a good dog.

Alot of A.D.D. going on in this post, sorry.
