I have like 15 car washes in a 10 mile radius from me. They charge like 3 dollars for an exterior washing/scratching. It drives me nuts.

My idiot grandfather said "you can't beat the value of the 2 dollar wash with free vacuums" when i was working on their computer.

Up until about a month ago, I used to go to them... question for you guys... since I live in an apartment complex.... Is it better for me to go to the drive-thru? or let the dust build up and wash it by hand maybe once every 2 months at my in-laws...?

Wash it once every 2 months if you can keep it from being rubbed.

Yea I always tell people its better to not wash your car at all than take it to a drive thru wash. I just saw an instagram post of a girls BRAND NEW Honda in a car wash and it said "desperately needed" I wrote "you desperately needed scratches?"

One of my clients was going to take their car to the local wash called "jet-splash" I've seen the cars that come out of their with their "wax" job, and "wash". Needless to say I showed them my work compared to theirs and won them over. It's pretty bad what they put out.

I find it insane that these people think that they're not hurting their cars...I've seen people come out with broken side mirrors, chips in the windshield, plastic coming off. Those noodle things annihilate your car! Might as well put a football in a bucket of dirty soap water and chuck it at your car. Would .probably get it cleaner

Most people don't have the "eye" to see it. I know multiple people who tell me their cars are clean and I point out buffer marks and swirls and they seriously cannot see it.

This.

I usually will just bring mine to the DIY car wash with the sprayers and just rinse it off. I never let that brush thingy touch my car though

Since my new apartment has no hookups for hoses I have been using the local carwash. I spray on my soap and let it sit for a few minutes. Then rinse then UWW+ and dry. Works pretty well.

Looking at getting a house soon, so pressure washer with foam lance will become a reality :lol

Really hate not being able to do a good 2 bucket wash anymore...
