You didnt say you wanted better lsps, you said more. Theres a difference.

You were talking about bringing in NEW business with MORE LSPs, not increasing profit by upselling BETTER lsps- different conversation all together concerning high end waxes and coatings, which isnt a bad idea at all. But thats not what you said, lol.

You should offer some higher end LSPs, but all i was saying, again, is that the number of LSPs you offer isnt going to matter much because just like you said, the clients can care less as long as their car is shiney.

If all of your clients live in million dollar homes then you should only be using premium LSPs IMO, lol.

If you do have a premium clientele as you say you do id have a couple nice waxes, Sonax Polymer net shield, and a coating option. Change your price accordingly and you wont need to upsale because thatll be your normal price all the time. Problem solved. If your clients are that loaded then they wont mind the prices.

So I'm kinda digging this BFWD. I don't want to put a wax on it. They are doing construction across the street from my place and even after I just waxed my car it would be FILTHY the next day. With this stuff the dust/pollen/dirt will not stick to the car, it was lightly dusty this morning and when I closed my door, I watched it fall off. It was cool.
I love mine. I put it on my wheels a while back before I repainted em and didn't put anything else on and they stayed fairly clean and cleaned up very easy until I repainted them a month ago. I actually have my coat of bfwd curing on my car right now waiting to be topped with aghd.

Anyone know how long aghd should sit and haze before buffing off.

AND PS.

Wheel woolies: the best thing since sliced freakin bread.

Wheel woolies plus Chemical Guys Sig Series wheel cleaner is a WIN.

My wheels dont get super dirty but i dont always clean the barrels. Now they look brand new, like i put the wheels on yesterday lol. Great wheel cleaner for the price.

Ive also been reading that after using Wheel brightener, washing the wheel with another wheel cleaner will neutralize the wheel brightener. Looking more into that, i have a gallon so i want to find a use for it. Between that and CG i have 10 gallons of wheel cleaner lol.
I love my wheel woolie!

I plan to order some CG sig wheel cleaner with my next DC order if they have it along with UWW+

Hey guys i get to wash/clay/wax or seal a 2013 explorer tomorrow... first detail in months lol, i also am waiting on some time to get my aunts red 2012 sonata done and i had someone with the silver m3 wanting a 1 step and a red mustang gt 2002 wanting a wash/wax. Wish i had time for it. I am HOPING to offer some headlight corrections for kids at USF when I go back to make quick easy money. I mean who doesnt want their headlights to work better for $35?

^ Looking into Sonax net shield and Opti. I will be asking "some" clients if they want coatings or waxes. Sealants of course will be brought up in discussion.
I need a fast applications, I have about two to three clients a day.

Also did anybody see that they added zymol products on am :lol

Netshield is awesome but you can only get opti 2.0 if you aren't a certified opti installer. You can become one as long as you have a business and a tax id. If you need more info on that pm me and I can tell you who to contact for that. I can point you to a distributor.

A lot of benefits to opti pro > oc 2.0. Most will tell you that oc 2.0 isn't even worth using if you have access to opti pro.

Netshield shouldn't be a crazy upcharge. Maybe 10-20~ bucks.

God dammit modded I love you :shiftyeyes
Lol, love you too buddy haha. Sorry if i misunderstood you.

I was just saying dont get carried away, thats all. Ive seen detailers with like multiple jars of 1000 dollar waxes, thats just excessive, lol.

I do think coatings are a good idea man, especially on cars with very soft paint or very harsh conditions.

You, know Xzavier, b/c you were looking to pick up more, crap lsp's. . . We all are. . .

Pick up some coatings and start advertising $400, 2 year coatings. There is a lot of money in coatings if you can sell them.
I was offering some friendly advice to a forum friend who actually values my opinion and doesnt disregard it after hes washed a car or two. :)

Wipe it with your finger, if it comes off clean its ready to be buffed.

CG sig wheel cleaner is great, i got my barrels looking brand new very quickly with it and the woolies.

If you have questions on coatings let me know. I have used 22ple and opti now. A fellow detailer I talk to just got c1/exo in and will be using it soon. I'll pass on info he gives me. I'd trust him with my car no doubt.

I still think youll be using a sealant more than anything and itll be easy to upsale to the Net shield because its not much more money but offers added benefits.

I think getting some coating offerings is a great idea, X, if people will pay for it, go for it. I wasnt discouraging you acquiring coatings by any means.

I myself am looking into optigaurd and C1. Optigaurd seems to have a really consistant performance which is really valuable when you are promising clients long term protection- you want to be able to trust he product.

Im no Daniel Shook, :shiftyeyes but i will offer some coating advice, lol. Get the surface CLEAN and DRY. Both of those are beyond important. You may want to consider picking up some Carpro Eraser as it cleans a little better than IPA without effecting the paint as much. IPA works great and is fine at lower dilutions but if you read about "hot" ratings of solvents and how they make the pores of your paint swell youll think twice about using very strong IPA to prep the surface for coatings. Id go over the car with Eraser, then follow with 15-20% IPA. Just my .02 from coating a car or 2...or 10, lol.

That sux Stevey. This is why I hate people. :GrumpyCat

It's weird damage too, almost like I scraped it against a brick wall (which I have in my driveway). But I'm a valet...I'd know immediately if I hit something. Just very confuzzled. Discovered it at a quickchek gas station but we checked the security cameras and nuthin. Not sure how the top of the bumper got damaged, the only thing I can think of is the parking lot at work has a brick wall and concrete cylinders for the lights that stick out, I'm gonna go look for paint chips now actually...

What is you guys favorite thing about after you detail your car?
For me exterior wise, it's when you walk towards your car and see the amazing depth/reflection in the hood/windshield and the contrast my dressed tires have with my yellow paint.

Interior wise, it's the feel of the seats and steering wheel after being cleaned and conditioned/dressed. Yes I use silk shine on my steering wheel.

I feel your pain, I was in a hurry the other day and mad (not good combo for driving) and my parents have a car cover/canopy thing and when leaving I scraped my bumper on the post on my passenger side.
