Get the red hex for SPNS. :thumb:

Joining the military??
Yeah I'm looking at nuclear engineering or medical in the navy. I went and talked to a recruiter and took a practice ASVAB and he said with my score I should make a 96 on the ASVAB so he pulled some strings and I go to take it tomorrow.

Thanks guys! I'll probably ask some of y'all some questions. My brother-in-law was in the army as well. Just had the sketchiest ticket transfer ever in Walmart parking lot though.
Anyway, I was hoping to place my order tonight, so any last say on FG400/HD Polish vs FG400/SF4000 vs FG400/SF4500?

You cant just generalize entire makes, years or countries. The color, year and even model can determine a difference in paint hardness.
,
Most BMW paint is hard, except for their jet black, its like mush. Mercedes paint is usually some of the hardest, usually. Porsche paint is almost all very soft. Theres a few german examples that range from mush to rocks lol.

Most modern clear coat paints are "scratch resistant" or at least called it. There are certain types of paint (cant remember the names) that some manufacturers use that are hard as nails. I believe Mercedes uses an extremely hard paint, but i cant say every color is that hard because it can differ from color to color.

My friend just got a job at PPG, im hoping to get some paint hookups lol. Maybe some automotive panels or something.

Youd be wrong.

And you are.

Again.
It's starting to become fun being wrong. If you haven't noticed anything I've said you've had a problem with. Again. And again. I could give genuine experience and have and somehow I would still be wrong by your standards. I know not all paints by companies are going to be consistent on paint.

The question was, or new edges hard or soft. They're hard, generally speaking. Which mean most, not all and will varies in different paint and clears they used and body styles.

I love if I say anything about anything. Your correcting me on it. I I say the same thing as ChrisJ or vader, some how I'm still wrong or you have a problem with it. I want a 12,15, and 21 rupes, you have a problem with it. I use SF4500 instead of 4000 an good results, bad advice some how. I use rupes pads, bad advice, I use what you don't and some how you've magically used it and size I have, it sucks or theirs a problem I use the same damn products, still a problem. I give my personal advice and experience of what I've seen and done, some how it's not up to your standards of living, and you still have a problem with it.

I didn't give bad advice for the question. But since I said what I said, generally speaking, they have scratch resistant coats which means harder clear. Does that mean all or did I say all? No. Generally speaking, they have harder clears. NOW , only way to truely know is from experience. My experience on all the fords and mustangs I've done, they are harder clears. That's my advice and my experience. If you have your own you'd like to share, share it, stop correcting what you think I should say and think.

I will buy what I want, because it will help me out in one way or another. If you gotta problem with it. Keep it to yourself. I'll use the products I want to use. Gotta problem? Keep it to yourself.

I could literally have said what you just did, word for word, and you would have a problem with it. Or correct me on something. If its not one thing it's another. And it's only you saying anything to me. Now of vader, Chris, and Steve are correcting me, then I clearly am doing something wrong. But their not, it's just you.

So seriously. Knock it the **** off dude. I don't block you because you do have good advice, and I'm here because I like to read what people think of certain products. But I'm not going to come in here and share my experience and be belittle every god damn time by you I say something. Seriously. Knock it off.

Personally, even on black cars, FG400 and SF4500 have done great things for me. Love the combo. And personally. I would choose that. Being yellow, I'm sure it will look just as good.

Pads? I think modded said MF cutting with green and blue foam for polishing.
I definitely want MF cutting but I'm indifferent on the polishing pads so what do y'all recommend for either hd polish or SF4500?

I got great cut with meguiars cutting MF pad, and a beautiful finish with SF4500 and a finishing meguiars MF pad. I really like that combo. If you want foam. BNS orange for FG400 and for SF4500 BNS blue is what I would recommend. Those two I've had great experience with.

1+ You will absolute love the MF cutting pads. If you can pic up some red or black to apply LSP's
Honestly, I hate mine...

I'm trying some different foam pads and different product.

I love the MF cutting pads. the Megs are awesome and so are the BuffnShine. I used the BnS cutting MF pad to do my car. Funny thing was I started out using a orange buffnshine pad and it would make my rupes stop spinning and just vibrate. BUT when using a bns MF pad in the SAME exact spot the pad would keep spinning with no problems at all. I was kinda dumbfounded by that i mean the MF pad is actually thicker so more mass to spin I would think it would stop spinning before the regular orange foam. But the black foam pad I used to finish with never stopped spinning.

I want microfiber cutting pads for sure! Wanna try them out.
Blue foam for finishing though? Would a 3pk of each be sufficient or what?
yes sir.

The red applicator pads honestly. AA hasnt stocked up on anything. which means i dont want to buy from them. I've been buying from phil way more.

3 5.5" BnS MF cutting pads
3 5.5" BnS blue foam light polishing pads
SONS
FG400
SF4500
6 BnS red foam applicators
And 6 plush microfiber towels

Missing anything?

This:
The clear on fords and German cars are scratch resistant. Making them a harder compound. So their paint is generally harder.

Is completely incorrect. Period.

Im not even the one who called you wrong, Vader did. I just agreed after you got snarky about it, as you always do.

A few notes...to review:

I never made any negative comments regarding SF4000 vs SF4500. I simply stated that SF4000 was comparable to HD polish based on MY EXPERIENCE, because we were discussing final polishes (Sf4000, 4500, HD)- ALL of which i own and have used on multiple kinds of paint.

I dont give a **** what you buy, its your money. Buy every polisher on the the market please idc. I was simply offering advice regarding your selection that will save you money. Ill keep any positive thoughts to myself from now on.

Lastly, you DID give bad advice for the question, you cant answer a SPECIFIC question with a generalization asshole- that doesnt help anyone.

This will be the last time i entertain your offense. I dont call you wrong for the **** of it or to be an asshole, but Mikey asked a question to which you made a totally unhelpful and inaccurate generalization.
