I love the smell of new tires! Mine sat in my house for about 3 weeks, the whole house smelled like new tires! :whackylol:
I had a new set of 35 inch mud tires sitting in my room for over a month once I loved it lol

I just changed my mode door actuator. This thing was a pain in the ass! You can see one of the plastic teeth on the gear broke off so that would explain the clacking sound, and now my A/C blows out super hard. Before it kind of piddled out.

I took hoodpins that were for made to function but installed improperly and mounted them the right way so that they function. The pins are very long but are very sturdy and now the pins look like they are meant to. What do you think?
Before

After

Much much better. They just looked off before.

Yeah, that first pic looks like slow car because of the little snail antennae sticking up. Much better.

Yes, tires are awesome lol do they say hoosier on the side?
Yep, big old white letters.

12.95@107 Never got my tire pressure right, I was changing too many variables at once. Setting up the 2 step launch at the same time I was fiddlin with the tire PSI. Best 60' was 1.84, not horrible but I think the car has a good deal more in it. My MPH indicates a possible 12.70. With all that being said, I was stoked I got it into the 12s! Just a tune, cats, and Roush muffler delete. Oh yeah, and a 120 lb weight loss from the wheel and tire swap.
Thats moving pretty good, im hoping for the same NA this year
huh, didn't realize you weren't N/A Chris (I need to read more threads :)) what changes do you have planned for this year?

My best NA run was a 13.2 with a JLT intake, o/r h pipe, canned diablosport tune on some Kumho v710 road race tires, with a 75 shot it went 12.4 at 114 then I sold the nitrous kit. I now have a built rear with 4.10s, added cmdps, and I hope to have before the end of the season, a set of UDP, strange shocks struts with 2013 cj springs, 1 piece DS, and if I can swing it a set of bigs and littles weld RTS

I'm wondering what mine would run.

Ordered my Hoosiers today.

Cool , huh?
You're going to love those tires. White letters out???

That had to be killing you sitting on those wheels all winter.

Of course the letters will face out. That's the way we used to roll back in the dark ages.

Well I'm getting used to it. With my little munchkin in private school I don't have the budget that I used too. So I buy one thing at a time and sometimes have to gather things over time before I can install them.

I hadn't thought about which way I'd put mine before I brought them to the tire shop to be installed. When they asked me I thought "Hmmmm, I just assumed they would install them white letters out, but, I would feel really foolish if I'm riding those awesome looking tires with the cool letters and I'm still running 13s."
So I went blackwall, wish I would have went the other way now

Now that's the dark ages for me! That was always difficult for me because by the time I got all my parts together I would have probably changed my mind. Last week I came across some parts in the trunk of the old convertible, brand new in the original packages. Mr. Gasket chrome wire looms.(remember those?) I figure I bought those things along about the year of 19 and 78. My kids are all grown up and they have kids of their own. I love the grand kids, but I think I might love my car more. My car responds much better to flogging.

Lol. I wish I could find some old parts. I bought some EBC rear brake pads a while back and now I can't find them. I guess it's just part of getting old. You do have a couple of years on me, I was in 8th grade in '78. My kid is only 5 going on 6. I got a late start on the family thing.

In all fairness, I don't think it's an age thing so much as being a car guy with a garage full of parts and tools. Hell, I have parts that have been waiting to go on my car for over a year now including Steeda HD mounts and front sway bar bushings. Just sitting out there. I forget about them all the time.

Car is done, shop ****ed up on the stripes so they pulled em off and ordered new ones, so i'm cruising around with stripes on the roof and back for a week but none on the hood. Didn't have time to pick up the car today tho gotta do that tomorrow :/ but I did find another set of mirror covers!

Just bought a SCT Tuner off another forum. Where's a good place to get tunes for it? Doesn't say Bama on it at all, just SCT so I'm not sure. I've always had dyno tunes done to my cars

Well you can always use the "canned" tunes for your basic bolt ons until you find a tuner you trust for a dyno tune. The canned tunes are big improvement over stock

Where would I find canned tunes? The last guy I went to that dyno d my last mustang is SCT certified by them an is even registered as a dealer on their website.

Levin Motorsports is the last guy to tune my old mustang. Spent about 4 hours doing it also
