Its pretty awesome, I definitely marred the crap out of the paint though... Lol. Its destroyed anyway, who cares.
I'm so pumped to correct my girlfriend's car even though its being traded in immediately after. I haven't polished anything in so long.

Autoality didn't have the regular meguiars mf pads so I got the xtra cut ones, should I treat it any differently than a regular mf pad? maybe less speed or less pressure?
I would probably use them the same, just be sure they are 100% primed.

give you $1000 for the focus
LOL. Your funny.

Im posting it for sale tomorrow for around 2800. Thats a bit above book, but these cars are selling for a tad over book right now since gas is getting more expensive and they dont burn any lol.

Id sell it to a friend for 2k, if any MMers are looking for a daily.

Alright cool, thanks. I'm gonna need more FG400 soon.... Getting a little low. Still love the stuff though.

Not a bad price. Still a nice profit in it
I would actually make no money if i sold it for a grand.

The car cost me 500 bucks. It was 250 bucks to register the car in my name, the clutch cost me 160, new battery was 100, new terminal was 6. I have almost 1100 in the car with parts.

Book is around 2500, im gonna list it for 2800, try to get 23-2500, least ill take is 2k because i know its absolutely worth it. Plus, focuses are going for 2500+ with WAY more miles than mine has lol. Shouldnt be hard to sell, just need to post it.

I think I'm going to try some AMMO products here in the next month or so.
Which ones specifically?

how you gonna factor in registration on value of the car LOL
I didnt factor it in as part of the value- i factored in registration as part of my cost, which is legit because its money required to own it.

The car is worth over 2k, which is a variable that has nothing to do with my cost or investments, other than the new parts.

Just because i paid 500 bucks for the car doesnt make it worth less, or make me wanna sell it for less. It wouldnt matter if the car was free, id still be selling it for the same amount.

Again...i didnt factor registration in as the value of the car, i factored it in as cost.

My 5.0's price was 24,500, the 1600 dollar registration fee is obviously part of the cost of the car since its money you shell out when you buy it.

I dont understand why its hard to understand. lol

Its kinda like factoring closing costs into the cost of a house. Same thing, lol. The point is that what i paid has ZERO weight on what the car is worth, so the registration doesnt matter since i still purchased the car for much less than the value.

Don't use them the same as normal mf pads. You will blow through clear like crazy. The xtra cuts make it much easier to remove a noticeable amount more clean because they have no foam interface. I have some, they are great for hard paint or ceramic clear but be much more careful otherwise.

If you like fg400 and haven't tried HD adapt give it a shot. It's much cheaper, less oils, and has a better ability to finish on darker paint. It's great stuff.

And where have you been? lol

Would he blow through clear like crazy using a GG? I could understand so on a rupes.

How does HD adapt compare to FG400's level of cut?

I usually buff with an orange pad on speed 5 or 6, what do uou think? Use maybe speed 3 or 4? It's on a Chrysler pt cruiser that's never been polished.

Hard to say what speed. You using a GG/Rupes/Flex? FG400 or another product? Also I've never polished a pt cruiser so I'm not sure what the paint is like.

I'd be safe and run through the normal steps. 1. Do a test spot starting with a softer pad and w/e compound you plan on using (or polish). Then step it up until you are happy with your results. Then do another spot with the combo you landed on to make sure that will continue to give you those results. Just be careful with the xtra cut pads. 2. Continue to use the method you found worked on the paint you have in front of you and keep your pads clean and you'll rock it!

Just the LSPd. Spit, skin, and creme

HD cuts way cleaner and finishes out way better IMO.

I've been stuck in this God forsaken state called MI through an awful winter. Detailing cars here and there and working to keep paying to put more parts on the Mach, lol.

Meguiars estimate is 20-30% more cut on any machine from a normal mf cutting pad.

I don't speak in % so I can't tell you if that's completely accurate. I can however tell you it takes fewer passes to cut through the same defects as a normal mf pad, shouldn't matter what machine it's on. Either way you will be moving through clear coat 20% faster than normal (most people say those % are pretty darn accurate).

Adapt > Cut > Fg400 IMO. Cut has more cut than fg400 does (in my findings) and Adapt has the same, maybe slightly less cut than Cut does but finishes out better than FG400 will finish out on soft black paint.

Is that with MF cutting pads, foam or both?

Ive been curious to try Adapt for a minute and my cars paint is gonna take a LONG time to correct lol. Probably 20+ hours, i love FG400 but ill admit its not as easy to work with as HD. Then again, M101 is very easy to work with and finishes down well enough to final polish.
