Why's that? Hardest part of it was getting the gas tank to drop (it was wedged in the frame initially) and tightening the control arm bolts with the suspension loaded. The gas tank strap bolts came out easy (the bolts are a Torx T50 Plus BTW) and everything else was pretty simple. You only have to drop the tank maybe 2" to clear the mount. I even did it with the tank full.

My torx bolts barely wanted to move so that took forever. I have big hands so getting to the UCA and lining it up sucked. If I had a lift it could've been easier. I don't know, I think I just have bad luck. I love doing my own work and can do just about everything, but something always wants to try to give me a hard time.

Got my wheels, LCA's and brackets installed today. Tomorrow I'm gonna tackle the UCA and mount, and dial in the PHB to get the axle perfectly centered.

I like that big old fat tire on the back. Looks good. Was that you that texted me?

Auto carwash=ruined paint.
Actually I talked to someone who was in autobody and paint for 16 years and he said the automated car washes are actually safer than handwashing. The brushes are less abrasive and use less contact

Maybe on their initial wash, but they pick up the dirt of all the cars wased before yours and drag it across your paint. I wish i still had the pictures of my company cars that ONLY got through those auto washes roughly 2-3 times a week. The amount of swirls would make your skin crawl.

I call bs, all the dirt/sand particles from jeeps/trucks that passed minutes before get caught up on those giant sponge fiber things.

Those brushes are less abrasive than a MF wash mitt used correctly?

Less downtime between engine swaps. I can build it relatively slow, which is want I wanted to do.
