OK yall...

I got the front bumper and the rear spoiler.

The rest is pretty much like I already have it.... I am thinking that I want to keep the GT hood, I like the Scoop.... even if it isnt functional.

I LOVE the COBRA R and my dream car has been the COBRA R ever since I can remember, and the first 2000 R I saw just stuck...

I know some will say it looks ricey or that Im trying to be a poser, but thats not what its about... Its about having my dream car without the $55,000 (the few I saw were right around here) price tag.

I do not intend to badge this car as a Cobra, and in no way will it keep up with a cobra since right now its stock.

I have attached images of the Model I got the parts to match....thoughts?

Thats exactly the way I see it. I just like to get other opinions just in case theres something I missed, and I appreciate the feedback :D

I like the R hood, but the funds are keeping me down for now.... I still have to get this thing painted...

I like the scoop, but Im not sure how it will look with the rest of the kit..... I can always get a hood later....

Any suggestions for hood options?

yeah unless you want it to look exactly like a cobra R i would go with a different hood.....sorry im just not much on the cobra r hood even though its a crazy badass car

I am not completely crazy about teh R hood either, I like it, but not enough to buy it over the stock one...not yet anyway.

Ill be on the lookout for it, I just ordered the ft bumper and the spoiler earlier today, so when I get all the parts I need Ill have them all painted....

Im going to keep the wheels I got, I like them just fine. Eventually I want to build the motor, but I got to pay for this thing first...lol

I got enough to get this all painted professionally and make sure it looks right.

Im usually Go before Show, but this time I'm bass ackwards. There aint a thing wrong with the GO I got right now. :3gears :D

I like the bodykit and stuff also, the front bumper is sick, but it just looks like it sits WAAAAAY too low, definately watch out for speedbumps dude

yea u will never have your "dream car" with out 55K, but you can make ur car look really nice, and come close... i guess

and dont worry my dream car is a ferrari 360 spider... and i cant even make my car look like it

I love a Ferrari 360, too.

yeah Im lucky I can do what I'm doing, cuz I can basically build this car to BE a COBRA R. I have all the specs and it wont be that bad alittle at a time.

After I get the look, Im planning out all the engine mods...I dont want a straight up race car, I want a Street car so the stock drivetrain is working out VERY well for me.

I programmed it with a Hypertech Max Energy tuner, and it got even better, the 3:73s are nice so I can cruise in 5th even at city speeds (down to 30 mph) and get the mileage I need. (or better than my Dodge Ram anyway, which gets 16 at best)

I did a half-assed calculation and I got around 25-27 average MPG on a trip from Huntsville, AL to Chattanooga, TN and back, so Im VERY HAPPY.

Like I said Im extatic(sp?) that I got a GT anyway, the COBRA R stuff is all a perk :D

Got some of the parts today....

The Stock headlight assy, the Steeda Trax, and the Foglights...they are the plastic ones, but I will be replacing them when I do the R FT Bumper so they dont need to be the good ones.

Got them at:

CJ Pony Parts - Ford Mustang Parts

EDIT: I dont see them on there today when I looked again, but they were 149.00 for the pair.... Thats the first place I look for mustang parts, but sometimes there are better deals or something they dont stock... not often, but sometimes.

what was wrong with the headlights you had?
The old ones are faded and have white haze all over them, they look like crap. You can see it in my signature block. Same thing that happens to alot of the AERO style Halogen headlight assemblies...Especially Fords.

Heres the other thread for it:

I got the ft bumper today, but it looks to be fiberglass.... so I may have an issue or two, since it was advertised as Urethane....

Urethane would not have the fiber strings on the inside of it like Fiberglass would it? it would also be a bit more flexible than what I got.... Ill post up pics tonight when I get home. It Looks great so i may decise to keep it and just be careful with it/

fiberglass is also considerably cheaper, so before you keep it make sure you take a look at the prices
