Just to give you an idea of size here is mine when it was a N/A 5.4 2V w/ adapter plates to run the mustang intake, i also had to notch the hood on the underside just for the JLT because its so tight.Its Wider and Taller then a 4.6

Im not sure what they put in. The valvue covers have 5.4 on it. A 4.6 intake manifold which is what I am trying to replace will not fit on the engine.

 

could they have put on PI's from a 5.4?

Dude, we really need some pics if you expect us to believe some one just "accidentally" went to all the trouble to swap your 4.6 to a 5.4 for no extra cost.

Yea I went to the transmission shop the other day and they accidently tubbed my car. I know the feeling.

This is probobly just a trolling thread to get people all angry and so forth.

Or they thought it would be funny to have 5.4 valve covers on your car so you think they did the swap and you'll go back next time.

Depending on the motor yea the valve covers can swap.

 

4.6 to 5.4, my senses are telling me that they are not interchangable

There is no "Rigging" to make a 4.6 manifold fit a 5.4 there way way off to be able to be rigged together.

 

I to the shop to take a look at the car and he showed me the engine there were two sensors in the engine that didnt belong in the car that were cut and the 4.6 intake did not fit on the engine and it was rigged to fit. If it is not a 5.4 what could it be.

 

Take some pictures, even crappy cell-phone pictures, upload them to a free image hosting site (Flickr, picassa, whatever), and post 'em up.
