ton's of places to get a motor, but look close to home first as a guy who is close has more to loose(rep wise) than someone across the country so they (usually) treat you better.

my thing is why disrespect chevy? ford is not on par to have the presence of a chevy motor powering it, this is my opinion. if i had the option of the 4v or a sbc with 0 miles going into a cobra, i would stick to the 4v. the 4v can make a ton of power, and to do it would cost less than the swap.

I don't know the LS1 push rod motor is a fairly nice motor :D We chevy guys would be hatin because we knew it took the heart of a chevy to move the ford. Anyhow, as for the hassle it would be sweet but I think you could make a 4v faster with the extra money. Or pick up a used LS1 block for a couple hundered and build your own. As far as the carb or EFI go EFI you can tune the AFR to every RPM in every gear not just a tune for all gears and speeds like a carb. I have flowtech headers. Not crazy about them but they sound pretty good and raspy through a ORY and SLP exhaust
